When I dreamt of my wedding, I wanted it to feel like a family vacation where we all stayed together, shared meals, and enjoyed fun activities like a wine tasting, pickleball tournament, & a pool party. Villamena made all these dreams come true. The venue has incredible views, & the rooms are modern yet still have a rustic charm. Villamena felt intimate & magical for celebrating with our closest family and friends. Raffaela treated us like family throughout our stay. Every meal during our 3 days there was delicious & thoughtfully prepared. The wedding details were executed flawlessly, which was important given that it's stressful trusting the process when planning a wedding abroad. We loved our experience!

We had the pleasure of having our 3-day wedding with 40 guest at Villamena. Everything was planned to perfection by the wonderful Simona. Everyone of the staff made sure that we and all our guests had the best days of our lives.
Everything at Villamena was better than expected and all our guests are still talking about the food, the atmosphere and the drinks!

We were married at Villamena in June, surrounded by 70 of our closest friends and family, and it was truly the wedding of our dreams.

The property itself is absolutely breathtaking, rich with history and nestled just 5 minutes outside of Assisi, it felt like stepping into a fairytale. The accommodations were perfect for our group: the rooms are modern, comfortable, equipped with small kitchens and air conditioning, which made the stay even more enjoyable for all of our guests.

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was unmatched. Raffaella, the owner, host, and officiant of our wedding, was extraordinary. She welcomed us and our guests with such warmth and grace, creating an atmosphere where everyone instantly felt at home. She even officiated a beautiful, personalized ceremony that we will treasure forever. Raffaella didn’t just host us — she made us feel like family.

Throughout our 4 day stay, Daniele was our go-to for everything. His attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond meant every need was met with ease. He was always one step ahead, ensuring not just us but every guest felt cared for.

And then there was Stefano, the head of service staff, who was nothing short of amazing. His kind spirit, flexibility, and ability to handle endless schedule changes and special requests with a smile made him an absolute rockstar. He and his team delivered flawless service at every meal, accommodating every dietary request and making each dining experience special.

Speaking of meals…the food was out of this world! Our guests are still raving about it. From the unforgettable gnocchi making night to our wedding dinner and welcome BBQ, every dish was made with the freshest local ingredients and cooked to perfection.

Planning a wedding abroad naturally comes with nerves and additional stress, but Villamena exceeded every expectation. Thanks to Raffaella, Daniele, Stefano, and the entire team, everything came together seamlessly. It was not only the best day of our lives but the best week, and we cannot recommend Villamena enough to anyone dreaming of a fairytale wedding in Umbria.

Recently stayed here at the gorgeous Villamena for a wedding. It was more than I could have ever imagined. The rooms were fantastic with everything we could need: small kitchen with stove, fridge, cookware and dishes to make our own meals, and the amenities, like the in-ground pool, tennis courts, local hiking paths, were amazing. Raffaela, the owner was so kind, welcoming and accommodating. We had amazing dinners every night, and there's access to laundry as well. Honestly, I wish I could have stated longer. It's only a short 20 minute drive to the town of Assisi, which has some incredible sights. Next time I make a trip to Italy, I'd likely make this my base, and rent a car to tour around.

Stunning venue and caring staff in the beautiful countryside of Assisi, Umbria.

We were invited to a private celebration party for a weekend and all was incredibile: the owner and the staff have been available and kind at all times, making sure each of us were comfortable and nothing was missing. The apartments are all recently renewed with a nice design touch: you simply taste the harmony created by the luxurious new feel and the original rural context you are immersed in. The party was impeccable as well as the food and service.

Raffaella, the owner, was present at all times coordinating all aspects of it, and making sure all guests were properly attended. The pool has a beautiful view of the hills and the apartments are spacious and comfortable, which makes any stay a cosy as well as relaxing time to spend with loved ones, or even alone. Thank you we will be certainly back!

Raffaella and Simona gave us the most incredible wedding we could have imagined.

Everyone felt so welcome. Every ask was catered for including all dietary requirements. Staff were friendly, rooms were immaculate, the food was incredible, our flowers, table settings, drinks, the pool, I could go on and on. But we can’t forget to mention the view… breathtaking.

We can’t thank you enough for treating us like extended family, we will never be able to stop talking about our stay!

Just attended a wonderful wedding event at Villamena. I absolutely loved it. The staff was really accommodating, saving me a meal because I arrived at 9:00p. Also the rooms are very comfy and quiet. The cook and serving staff do an amazing job. All meals were served even for a party of 40+, starter main course and desert were served at the beautiful out door covered patio. The staff really took the time to connect and be involved with a smile. Had a wonderful time here!

Excellent experience as a guest for a wedding. Staff and management were accommodating and friendly. The property and venue were amazing. The rooms were very clean and exceeded our expectations. Meals, wine tasting, pizza parties, etc. were all part of our stay and we loved every minute of it. Location is excellent, away from it all (peaceful and quiet) but only a 5min shuttle into town. Next time we head back to the Assisi, Italy we will definitely book another stay. Villamena gets 5-stars in our book and we can't wait to return for another tranquil getaway.

We had an amazing experience for a wedding at Villamena. There were over 25 of us who stayed for 5 days and they could not have accommodated us any better. The owner, Raffaella and her staff are the nicest and most welcoming people you can meet. They were on the property at all times for anything you may need. The food was simply amazing and the views couldn't be more beautiful. The rooms were recently renovated and were very clean. I would recommend ignoring the very few negative reviews. The most recent negative review is laughable and ignorant. They complained about the service when it was actually exceptional. They complained that salad was serviced last during meals, which is the traditional way to serve salad in Italy, especially for formal events. They stated there wasn't enough wine glasses, yet the rooms had several wine glasses and you were sat down with 2 wine glasses for every meal. The staff would have also gladly provided you with more wine glasses if needed. They mentioned an issue with hot water, my family of 4 stayed in one villa and had no issues with hot water. They said management was greedy, which I find personally insulting as they were the nicest most welcoming people to my family. Don't hesitate to book your stay at Villamena if you want to have an amazing experience and be treated like family.
