I had a wonderful stay at the Castello. The premise is incredibly gorgeous and feels like a trip back in time made delightful by the owning family and a great staff. Recommend to anyone who’s thinking about doing an Italian getaway. Great nearby town with lake views add to the charm of the experience.

What a truly memorable experience being part of our honeymoon. The scenery was breathtaking, and the accommodation, staff (Giulia!), and owners were exceptional. Throughout our stay, we felt genuinely welcomed—almost as though we were part of the family. The vast majority of the estate was really well maintained.

Our chalet offered a homely atmosphere, featuring a charming country-style interior, a high-quality long bed, a well-appointed bathroom, and a delightful outdoor relaxation area. It was thoughtfully equipped with all essentials for our nine-month-old baby, with additional items available upon request.

Although we chose not to cook, we dined at the on-site restaurant, which provided excellent value for money: a three-course dinner accompanied by local table wine for €40 per person. I was fortunate to get second rounds offered, which really fuelled to homely vibes.

Be sure to enquire about the castle tour—a fascinating introduction to Italian history, through a family lineage narrative, culminating in a panoramic view from the tower.

We can certainly envisage returning, even with older children, as there is a wealth of activities available both on-site and in the surrounding area.

Lieu très agréable, nature complète. Cottage agréable, il faut juste améliorer la literie. Grande piscine principale et une pour les cottages (froide). Les activités : équitation, les monitrices doivent revoir leur accueil et accompagnement en balade. Elles passent leur temps sur leur téléphone et aucun échange ! Les chevaux sont en très bel état et agréable. J avais hâte de faire ces balades et franchement très déçue ! Sortie en vélo électrique. Terrain de tennis... Donc faire autant de km pour des balades a cheval médiocre, cela n'en vaut pas la peine. Dommage ! Car le site est très beau et bien placé.

Abbiamo trascorso due giorni indimenticabili .. ho scelto questo posto per trascorrere i miei 40 anni con la mia famiglia, lontano dal caos della città. I proprietari sono ospitali e molto disponibili, la location è da togliere il fiato. Camere pulite ed accoglienti, spazi comuni impeccabili, pace e tranquillità in ogni angolo. Offrono anche tantissimi servizi e ci piacerebbe tornare per usufruire di ogni possibilità offerta dalla struttura. Lo consiglierò ad amici e parenti e spero di tornarci presto. Consigliatissimo.

I discovered this place on Instagram and reached out to get information about horse riding lessons. They patiently answered all of my endless questions. Grazie Giulia! ☺️ I went with my dog and had such a wonderful time! The room was clean and comfortable, and the view from the window was absolutely breathtaking. We were hosted by the sweetest people, and the food was incredibly delicious.

Our jumping lesson was so much fun, and we also went for a ride in the forest, which was an unforgettable experience. Special thanks and lots of love to my amazing instructors, Katarina and Antonio. This place is truly magical. Thank you so much! I can’t wait to come back.

Castello Santa Cristina is a magical spot, commanding the intersection of Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany and just 1.5 hours from Rome. It’s a fantastic destination for anyone who enjoys the Italian countryside and riding horses, but is especially great for a family trip. Kids will be enchanted by the castle and love having access to swimming pool, ping pong, karaoke, tennis and a variety of riding activities. The food is classic wholesome farm to table Italian fare and the owners are super fun (and speak perfect English)and staff are lovely. I recently went to a fabulous party there - it’s a perfect for destination weddings and events - so will share photos to give you a taste. Vieni!

Ho avuto il piacere di trascorrere qualche giorno al Castello di Santa Cristina ed è stata un’esperienza meravigliosa, che spero di ripetere presto!
Ho partecipato a una passeggiata a cavallo di due ore tra i sentieri intorno al castello ed è stato davvero suggestivo, anche per una principiante come me.
Il personale è estremamente cordiale e disponibile, e i proprietari sono persone accoglienti e alla mano.
Un luogo speciale, immerso nella natura, perfetto per staccare la spina.

I had the pleasure of staying at Castello di Santa Cristina and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The estate is nestled in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. The accommodations were both comfortable and charming, blending rustic elegance with modern amenities.

One of the highlights of my stay was the horseback riding excursion through the surrounding woods and fields. The horses were well-trained and the guides were knowledgeable and friendly, making the experience enjoyable for riders of all levels.

The culinary offerings were exceptional, featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that showcased the flavors of the region. Each meal was a delightful experience, complemented by the warm hospitality of the staff.  

Whether you’re seeking relaxation, adventure, or a bit of both, Castello di Santa Cristina provides the perfect setting. I highly recommend this agriturismo to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the beauty and culture of Italian countryside !

Abbiamo trascorso un weekend indimenticabile al Castello di Santa Cristina. La location è semplicemente mozzafiato: immersa nella campagna, tra boschi, colline e cavalli, con un’atmosfera romantica e autentica. Le camere sono accoglienti, arredate con gusto e piene di fascino storico. Il personale è stato gentilissimo e sempre disponibile, facendoci sentire come a casa. Abbiamo anche partecipato a una passeggiata a cavallo, un’esperienza magica tra i sentieri della tenuta. La colazione con prodotti freschi e locali è stata la ciliegina sulla torta. Consigliatissimo a chi cerca pace, natura e un tuffo nella storia!

Ho soggiornato in questo splendido posto con la mia compagna di recente.
Giulia ci ha assistito nell’organizzazione del nostro romantico Weekend con numerose attività quali l’equitazione, la bicicletta e il Tennis. Si esatto tutte attività all’interno della Proprietà!
Avremmo voluto fare un massaggio rilassante ma non abbiamo avuto tempo…torneremo sicuramente.
Sembra di essere in Paradiso, il posto è tenuto in maniera eccelsa. I proprietari e lo Staff sono disponibilissimi, sembra di sentirti a casa

The most ideal place to go to if you’re looking for somewhere to relax, explore, do different activities and enjoy the countryside.

I try to come here once a year. The owners are very friendly, feels like being part of a family. Cristina always makes you feel at home.

Always have a great experience here. Whether I’m looking to horse ride, do long countryside walks, bike tours, or simply relax by the pool. (I recommend trying them all!)

Also, there’s a great tennis court surrounded by nature!

A week here seems to go by so fast ahah.

Il Castello di Santa Cristina è un luogo incantevole immerso nella natura dell'Alta Tuscia, tra Lazio, Umbria e Toscana. La struttura, ricavata dal borgo sottostante il castello settecentesco, offre camere e appartamenti arredati con mobili d'epoca, che conferiscono un'atmosfera autentica e accogliente.

Durante il mio soggiorno, ho apprezzato la tranquillità del luogo, la cura del giardino e la disponibilità del personale. La colazione, servita nell'ex scuderia, è ricca e comprende prodotti freschi e fatti in casa.

Le attività offerte, come le passeggiate a cavallo, il noleggio di biciclette elettriche, la piscina e il campo da tennis, rendono il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. La posizione è ideale per esplorare i dintorni, con il Lago di Bolsena a soli 10 minuti di auto.

Consiglio vivamente il Castello di Santa Cristina a chi cerca un'esperienza rilassante e autentica nella campagna italiana.

I had the most amazing stay at Castello di Santa Cristina! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Giulia, Cristina, and Antonello, who were truly exceptional hosts—friendly, attentive, and always happy to help.

The castle itself is absolutely iconic, full of character and history. We were lucky enough to be given a guided tour, which made the experience even more special.

We loved the horse riding, which took us through some of the most incredible panoramic views—a truly unforgettable way to explore the countryside. We also went mountain biking, which was equally enjoyable and a great way to take in the peaceful surroundings.

I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway from the city! It's the perfect escape to nature with a touch of magic.

I recently stayed at Castello Santa Cristina with a few friends and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The place is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by stunning nature, it was just what we were looking for, a peaceful and authentic Italian getaway!

The food was INCREDIBLE, every single meal was delicious. Thank you, Anna and Morena for your amazing work in the kitchen!.

The owners, Antonio and Cristina, made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. Their warmth and hospitality made our experience even more special. The entire staff were great, everyone was so helpful and welcoming. A special thank you to Giulia for always being available to answer our questions and making everything so easy for us.

During our stay, we went on several horseback rides, including a few two-hour rides and a full-day excursion. The horses were incredible, well-cared for, well-trained, and comfortable to ride. These rides through the beautiful countryside were truly unforgettable.

Between the nature, the food, the beauty of the castle and the entire facility, we truly felt like we were living the Italian dream. We cannot wait to return to Castello Santa Cristina!

This is an amazing castle tucked away in the Tuscany hills. It has been family owned since the 1500’s and has some incredible history. The food is very good and this place has some great potential for weddings, retreats, romantic getaways, bike touring, horseback riding, and hiking. There is something for all generations, so don’t leave anyone behind and come here to make memories that will last forever!

Wonderful stay.
We have just returned from yet another visit to Castello Di Santa Cristina. My mother and I have been visiting the castle most years since 2016 initially as horse riding holidays. This year I brought along my husband and two children. We all had an amazing time and my family wish to come again. The accommodation and surrounding grounds are simply beautiful. The hosts are so welcoming, along with all of the staff. I can’t rate them any higher. There is so much to do… horse riding, swimming, walking, the area has so much to offer. Also I have to mention the food…. Wow! We can’t wait to book again.

Posto magnifico, immerso nel verde. Giardino curatissimo, piante e fiori dappertutto. Le stanze sono confortevoli, forse i bagni avrebbero bisogno di una ammodernata, ma la doccia è stata comunque all’altezza. I proprietari e il personale gentilissimi e attenti a tutto. Menzione d’onore la colazione, che si fa dentro ad una stanza memorabile (dove erano una volta le scuderie) con pane freschissimo e ciambellone fatto in casa.

Increíble estancia. Podría decir que es uno de los sitios en los que he estado. El castillo está perfectamente cuidado, limpio, y es realmente acogedor. Los dueños han conseguido preservar la autenticidad del lugar y el campo es realmente espectacular. Se nota que los propietarios del castillo son personas a la que le gusta hacer las cosas bien y que ponen mucho cuidado y atención en todos los detalles.

El trato recibido por el personal (las chicas de los caballos, el personal del restaurante, etc.) no ha podido ser mejor, me he sentido como en casa.

Sin duda volveré!
