Choosing More Than Weddings was truly the best decision we made for our wedding. From the moment we began planning with Cristiana and Marta, we felt surrounded by warmth, care, and a genuine love for what they do. Our three-day celebration in Sirmione, Italy — with 121 of our closest family and friends — was everything we dreamed of and more. Every moment was seamless, heartfelt, and beautifully orchestrated, all thanks to this incredible team.

From our very first call, we knew we were in exceptional hands. The MTW team took the time to truly understand our vision and helped shape it into something even more beautiful than we could have imagined. Their communication and organization throughout the entire process were outstanding. They set up clear timelines and check-ins that made everything feel structured yet never overwhelming. We always felt guided and supported, never rushed or stressed — and that balance made all the difference.

Their ability to handle every detail with such precision and calm was extraordinary. No matter how many moving parts there were - considering three full days of distinguished events for 121 guests, — everything was perfectly planned and flawlessly executed. They were always available whenever we needed them, offering reassurance, advice, and solutions with patience and kindness. Because of their incredible organization and outstanding vendors they work with, I can honestly say I was the least stressed bride imaginable. Every detail had been thought through which allowed us to be fully present and simply enjoy the weekend.

Their sense of style and design is impeccable. Every visual element — from the website and stationery to the décor and overall aesthetic (even my hair and makeup) — reflected our personalities beautifully for each event. The spaces they created felt elegant, warm, and effortless, all tied together with their signature taste and eye for detail. Every moment felt cohesive and intentional, yet natural and relaxed.

Throughout the wedding weekend, Cristiana, Marta, Marta, and Alessia worked quietly behind the scenes with such grace and care that everything appeared to flow effortlessly. Our guests continually commented on how organized, thoughtful, and smooth the entire celebration was and how it was the best wedding they ever attended. It was a true reflection of their professionalism and passion for what they do.

Now that it’s over, we find ourselves missing them dearly. The MTW team became so much more than our wedding planners — they became our friends and such an important part of our journey. We’ll forever be grateful for the way they turned what could have been a stressful process into a joyful, creative, and truly unforgettable experience.

We will never forget those three days in Sirmione — filled with love, laughter, beauty, and meaning — and we have More Than Weddings to thank for it all.

It took me a while to write this review.
We had our wedding almost three years ago.
It was definitely a huge mistake to do it with a team that is not professional to manage big weddings with standards.
We had such a hard time, the vendors were all horrible (flowers, venue except one vendor they all gave us a hard time and the planners were not able to manage it and would give us extra stress constantly as if its not their job to manage), i spent weeks and months creating word files with details of our wedding and met them over zoom to explain and when we arrived in Italy it was clear that they did not listen to anytbing and djdnt even put the time to go through the files so a few days before wedding i had to do it all over again.
Every vendor including them changed their fees and increased fees last minute.
I remember we arrived after a long flight from Canada and we went out for coffee and to get water and they all sat for my husband to pay their bills.
We also met with planners in Istanbul and they would take care of you as guests that are spending so much money in their country and when you are tired and come to a foreign country they take care of things but this was the reverse and it was so cheap.
The night before the wedding we were told the manager of the villa is angry and might not open the doors to the villa (imagine saying that to the bride the night before the wedding) , so careless that they didnt check that a wrong contract was sent to us so ofcourse we cant sign it. Instead of checking it properly and not causing stress.
They constantly created extra stress!
In the day of the wedding my flowers were wrong, my dinner set up the name tags were all over, so many details was not done properly i eventually sent my sister to tell Marta and she told my sister ( this is what they get with their budget, keep in mind you send pictures of the items you want and then you get a quote , how rude can you bee to say something like that to a guest of the bride and groom)
We were told last minute to hire a assistant one extra person to be there but constantly my husband and i were alone nobody even cared to bring us water or food while we were getting ready or while we took a break after ceremony. They were all enjoying their own time as if they were guests too?!
They also didnt show up for our brunch party which was planned months before and sent an assistant that didnt know what to do , she had noo idea! it was super embarrassing i had to do the set up myself and even then still everything looked wrong, we found the assistant crying in the middle of my brunch party and our friends started to give her money so she wouldn’t cry in front of other guests.
So funny that we spend a year talking to them and explaining about our traditions and culture and later i saw them shared a video of our ceremony with an indian song, so uneducated that they didnt even try to learn that we were persian.
Anyways over all we had a horrible experience with the planners, and most of the vendors they recommended , also we lost 3500 thousand Euro deposits to a food vendor Marco Assaggia that failed to ever sent us a contract and kept changing his word of whats included and whats not included, they never set a meeting with him and he blocked us from everywhere and they didn’t do anything about it.
i would suggest you work with professional planners and don’t give you constant stress and make you lose money instead of planning a good stress free wedding.
Keep in mind we also paid them more than a super famous planner in Istanbul that has over 200k followers and the service we got was horrible.
They are god for arranging a super simple wedding for 20 guests.

Marta and Cristiana were amazing! We had a bad experience with our previous wedding planners, and Marta and Cristiana came in a few months before the wedding and set everything straight! They are very efficient and accommodating and amazing service. They are so nice to work with and have great taste. Would highly recommend them! Our wedding was at Castello di San Salvatore, where they’ve done a lot of weddings, so they knew exactly what to do!

Hands down, the best decision we made in the wedding planning process was working with More Than Weddings. If you’re thinking about getting married in Italy, hire them as your planners! You’ll be in the best hands.

We found them by looking at wedding blogs and coordinators for the Veneto region, although they work all over Italy. Marta was our main point of contact but we were lucky enough to also connect with Cristiana, Alessia and Francesca who were all so kind, patient, attentive, calm, reassuring, perceptive and thoughtful. They had fantastic creative ideas but also were respectful and listened to ours—the planning process was a wonderful collaboration. They sent design proposals, tweaked plans based on our feedback and vision, and I trusted them completely.

They helped to coordinate two pre-wedding events, including my hen do in Verona/Lake Garda and a welcome party at a winery in the hills of Valpolicella the day before the wedding. They absolutely went above and beyond: coordinating transport to multiple hotels, organising wine tours for our friends & family, and making sure everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves the entire long weekend. Planning a wedding abroad from the UK, and being a type A bride, they completely put me at ease and meant my fiancé and I could enjoy the process!

Their knowledge of the area and relationships with exceptional local vendors was unparalleled. From florists to musicians to makeup artists and even finding a professional babysitter to look after young kids at our wedding, every single supplier was top notch. We got lots of compliments from guests about the wedding, which is testament to their attention to detail and organisational skills.

It was the best weekend of our lives. Thank you so much Marta & Cristiana for making this dream wedding come true. ❤️

Super recommended - Cristiana and Alessia from More than weddings are amazing!!

They have supported us for more than 1 year in organizing our wedding in Tuscany in September 2024. It couldn't have been any better than this - everything was perfect and beyond any possible expectations! And this is all thanks to the whole organization put in place by Cristiana and Alessia.

Despite living abroad and being far from our wedding location, More than weddings made the organization really smooth, helping us deal with all the vendors and making sure every detail was properly addressed ahead of time. Cristiana and Alessia are really kind and patient - they have been able to address all our questions and last minute changes with confidence and calm. We didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day - everything was just perfect!

We are so glad we met Cristiana in 2021 at the wedding of a friend. That day was so perfect that convinced us to choose More than weddings for our wedding as well - and we couldn't have made a better choice.

Last week I celebrated my marriage to my husband in beautiful Italy. BEST DECISION WE MADE was hiring Marta and team at More Than Weddings to help us plan and coordinate our wedding in Italy! Though our wedding was small (only 10 of us), both my husband and I don’t speak Italian (or at least not enough to converse well) so hiring planners in Italy took a huge stressor off of me. I’m a very type-A planner for our travels and in life but having planners like MTW eased my mind at every turn, helping explain how things work for weddings in Italy, finding amazing vendors, and coordinating everything on the day so I could relax and take in the day.

I found them originally through Instagram when searching for weddings in the Venice / Verona areas. They are based in Veneto region but they travel and coordinate weddings all over Italy. Booking them for our wedding was one of if not the best decision we made for our wedding. They went above and beyond and helped to coordinate pre and post wedding events, helping us translate to Italian vendors like boat tour companies and wineries to book tours for our entire family. They sent design proposals and did research based on what we wanted and our aesthetics, listening to us and looking for vendors that could execute our vision within our budget. They understood that US trends were slightly different than Italian and other European wedding trends and helped to make our vision come to life - like adding the figurine of our sweet puppy to our cake and getting the caterer to create the "icing on nose" vision like she got into the cake :)

The initial communication was more sporadic which made me nervous as a US bride who is used to getting emails back almost too quick sometimes! But the process helped to teach me to relax into the Italian lifestyle and at no time were they not on top of our planning process 🙂 We communicated primarily with Marta through our planning process and she was amazing!

We went to Italy in September before our wedding in May to see venues and try out some of the activities we were going to do with our families so Marta and Francesca (one of their other employees) organized two full days for us and made our trip even more memorable! Marta and her partner Cristiana both came to our wedding on Lake Garda, so it was great to finally meet the other half of the team. They make a great pair of creativity and organization and made it so we were able to fully experience the best day of our lives!

We are a couple from Canada who, with the help of Marta and Cristiana, were able to organize our dream Italian wedding with only 6 months of lead time. You’re reading the perspective of me, the husband, and my wife has also left a review here; we felt compelled to both share our unique perspectives on how fantastic it was to work with the team. Our wedding was so successful, that random people would come up to us in the town and say “oh - you’re the Canadians who had the wedding at Duca Di Dolle - we heard from the hotel that it was fantastic”. We were quite literally the “talk of the town”!

A quick bit about why you should trust us: unfortunately, before hiring MoreThanWeddings, we had the mishap of hiring a terrible Italian wedding planner. We won’t mention her name in this review, but through that process we learned that the two most important things you need from a destination planner are: 1) strong project management skills, and 2) trustworthiness. Luckily for us, Marta and Cristiana exude both of these traits to the highest degree!

Back to the amazing team at MoreThanWeddings: these two ladies exhibit all the characteristics of top-tier project managers; you could drop them in to a PMP role at any consulting firm, and they’d come out on top. They are wonderfully creative, and great to collaborate with, but never once did I feel like the wedding design was becoming more of “their” ideas than “ours”. They’re supportive, and helped us be decisive (something we as a couple struggle with) without ever being stubborn or losing their patience with us. They were super accommodating of our East Coast time zone, and helped schedule calls around our schedule. Every call felt like we were being actively listened to, and that the project was being moved forward accordingly; it never felt like we had to repeat ourselves with them. Little “sparks” of ideas seen on instagram, like: “oh, we’d love a late-night gelato cart” would be met with prompt follow-ups with several proposals ranging across budgets. They never seemed to mind that our imagination was running wild with these little “sparks” from things we saw on instagram/pintrest, in fact quite the opposite: they clearly love planning weddings and love to see all the amazing inspiration. They had seemingly boundless patience for us.

If you’ve gotten this far, I think it’s clear: we think the world of Marta and Cristiana. I would trust them to plan any event, and would recommend them to our closest friends and family. I’ll leave you with one last point: there are so many examples I could list of Marta and Christiana “sweating the small details”, but the one that left the biggest impression on both of us was that they had custom dresses made for our wedding to match our floral arrangement. I mean, c’mon. These two really care a lot, and clearly love what they do!

The wedding is done now, and it was a tremendous success thanks to these two. Despite being a little sad that the wedding is done, I’d say we’re equally sad that we won’t be having our weekly calls with them.

Marta, Christiana - thank you, from the bottoms of mine and Marina’s heart. We will cherish our wedding day for the rest of our lives!

We could not be happier with our experience with the whole team at More Than Weddings. From our first video call Cristiana and Marta made us feel incredible comfortable knowing that our wedding planning was in the hands of people who truly care about what they do. With our wedding being in Verona and us living in New York we relied heavily on their help and they never faltered or failed to accommodate us.

Throughout the year leading up to our wedding they put us in contact with some of the best vendors we could have hoped for. We ended up traveling to Italy to meet with them and they set us up with their fabulous assistant Francesca who helped lead us through meetings with the musicians, florists and caterers.

When it came time for the wedding we were so comfortable knowing that everything had been taken care of by their team. The whole event went off without a hitch and was more beautiful than we could ever have dreamed of. Le ragazze di More Than Weddings sono state un punto di riferimento assolutamente decisivo per la buona riuscita del nostro matrimonio (del quale siamo rimasti contentissimi).

Martha and her team are the BEST in town. I explore and experience another company prior to them and I was so frustrated until I found them!!!! Do not be afraid to hire them; you will have the best wedding EVER. Also, they speak very good English and do not overcharge you because you are a foreigner. We gave them our budget and then we adjusted it according to our needs. They also manage the BEST vendors. OMG, the catering people were the best. Having a wedding is very stressful adding the language barrier and the distance increases your stress 10 times. More Than Weddings will be your BEST investment. I wish I could have found them earlier. Also, TIP DO NOT BOOK YOUR VENUE... Until you hired them. :)
