We were a British couple getting married in Italy in May 2025, and choosing Simona at WeWeddingInTuscany was easily one of the best decisions we made.

From the very first conversation, she gave us complete confidence. She was professional, organised, warm and instantly reassuring, especially as we were planning a 100 person wedding in another country. The language barrier and not knowing any local suppliers could have been stressful, but Simona removed every bit of worry. She guided us with honesty and calmness and never pushed us in any direction. She was never biased toward familiar suppliers (who by the way were of equal quality to Simona) and would always remind us that it should come down to who we felt comfortable with and what suited our budget.

Her organisation is truly exceptional. Everything was planned and executed with military precision, but it still managed to feel personal and relaxed. The communication was constant and comforting, whether through WhatsApp, phone calls or during our visits from the UK. Even when a few unexpected last minute surprises appeared, she handled them with complete ease and always found solutions that matched our style and budget. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

Simona also went far beyond what we expected from a wedding planner. She had items delivered to her own home, picked up printed signs from local shops and handled small details we had not even realised needed doing. On the wedding day itself, she was everywhere all at once but never intrusive. She managed the entire day without ever needing to involve us. We watched her quietly working away, setting up tables, preparing decor and taking on tasks most planners would never include in their job. She simply gets things done without fuss and with so much care.

Because of her, our wedding day was absolutely flawless. Not one issue, not one moment where the flow dipped. The pacing, the atmosphere and the transitions were all perfect. Six months later our guests are still talking about how beautifully organised it all was. Now, sitting on our honeymoon, we genuinely cannot think of a single thing we would change.

Simona is the definition of a world class wedding planner. She is the sort of professional who could easily be organising weddings for Jeff Bezos or A-list celebrities, yet she gives the same level of care, passion and excellence to an everyday couple. She created something far beyond what we imagined possible.

And beyond all of that, she is simply a wonderful human being. Generous, warm, personable, funny and loving. By the end of the wedding she felt far more like a guest and a friend than someone we had only met twelve months before.

If you are considering a wedding in Italy, we cannot recommend Simona highly enough. She did not just organise our wedding. She created the most unforgettable day of our lives.

Our wedding planner Simona was the best decision we made for our wedding in Tuscany. We reached out to Simona at a crucial moment: after our first wedding planner had to step away, we were left with only 6 months to organise our wedding for nearly 200 guests. Simona took over with such calm, determination and precision that we immediately felt reassured.

From the very first exchanges, her kindness and professionalism stood out. Thanks to her extensive network, she introduced us to great trusted vendors (shuttles, catering, florist, bar, hair and make-up artist, etc).

Her way of working is incredibly structured and clear : a shared Google Drive with schedules, benchmarks, budget tracking, timelines, detailed pictures of the venue, etc.

Always proactive, Simona guided us through each step, making sure nothing was overlooked.

Simona has the big-picture, but also an exceptional eye for detail. She anticipates the impact of every choice; for instance, she double-checked the venue photos to ensure that the wall behind our table would enhance the wedding pictures.

Simona is also incredibly responsive: every WhatsApp message received an almost immediate reply, always with thoughtful advice.

On the wedding day, everything ran smoothly. When the weather forced a last-minute change, she seamlessly reorganised the cocktail and dinner setup into an equally beautiful alternative. Our religious ceremony at the Chiesa di Ognissanti in Florence was followed by a wonderful cocktail and dinner at the Castello di Mugnana, and the celebration carried on until 6 am.

From beginning to end, we felt supported, reassured, and carried through the entire planning journey. Our wedding reflected us perfectly, and that’s exactly what mattered most.

Budget Mismanagement & Hidden Costs

1. The budget we gave was exceeded by a third. We noticed this ourselves and warned Simona, because she hadn't noticed it.
2. One of the reasons we chose her was her catering background. We believed that this would be an advantage because she has a big range of acquaintances in that branch. Instead, she only offered three real catering options (three others were in a folder labelled “not available”). The caterer we liked turned out to be far more expensive than initially tought. I believe that this option shouldn't even had been proposed being out of our range.
3. From our very first meeting, we stated clearly that our budget had to include the transportation for guests. I specifically mentioned flights. She said she couldn’t organize flights but could help with the booking. After a year of planning, she told us that there had been a misunderstanding and that transportation had never been considered at all. That was a huge step back for us because we had counted the transportation in our budget and now not only, we were over it with one third but also, we had to pay for the transportation extra.

Lack of Professionalism & Communication Failures

4. For makeup artist options, she only provided choices far above our price range. After explaining that I don’t like the options given and declining all of them she continued asking me which one I chose. She wouldn't offer me any new choices so at the end I had to find and organise this myself.
5. She often preferred speaking Italian, sometimes switching mid-conversation because it was easier for her, despite me not being an Italian speaker.
6. In our group chat for the organisation, she consistently ignored my messages while replying to my husbands. I felt continually ignored and so frustrated that I had to inform Simona that I need to take a break from our communication for a while for my own mental health.
7. I asked to start preparing invitations a year in advance because many of our guests book their calendars early. She ignored this request for six months and only began searching for a supplier in December. As a result, our invitations went out much later than we planned - months later than I had asked - and many guests declined because they already had other commitments. For me our wishes should have been followed even if she thinks that it’s better to do it differently.

Problems on the Wedding Day

8. The arrival of guests with the bus was mistimed, and guests were left waiting for nearly an hour before being seated, because photos of the empty hall needed to be taken first.
9. When we were planning the photo session after the ceremony, we planned groups so that we would have pictures with all family members and friends. Sadly, when the moment came, she wasn't even there.
As a result, we had to do photos with big groups put together on the moment and we missed out on specific smaller groupings that were important to us.

This was the turning point for our wedding day:

At the beginning of the after party, we went to connect our phone to the rented music system for background music. We couldn’t afford the extra cost for a DJ and we also liked the idea of having our own playlist. The sound technician told us (and not nicely) that he only had a cable for a laptop. We had specifically warned Simona that we will use phones. I broke down and had to step outside to cry, overwhelmed by the constant mistakes and last-minute chaos.
My husband, already stressed from the months before, lost his patience and confronted Simona, telling her directly that her work had been unacceptable.
Instead of taking responsibility, she insisted she had told us about the laptop cable - which she never had. This type of gas lighting was something we experienced multiple times from her throughout the process.

Final Impression:
Simona never apologized, never admitted mistakes, and made almost every step more stressful and more expensive.
Sadly, we cannot recommend her services.

A dream come true and it’s all thanks to Simona. Simona is a godsend! I can never thank her enough. She’s such a loving woman, detailed oriented, loves her job but most of all loves her couples. I mentioned I dreamed of getting married in Abbazia di San Galgano and without a hesitation she said “even if you don’t choose me, I’ll help you secure a date”. Those words I’ll never forget because it’s her heart that shows how loving and caring she is. We were lucky enough to have her as our wedding translator and that for us means the world. She married us, laughed and cried with us we shared some delicious porchetta sandwiches (my now favorite) but most of all ..she became family.

I would recommend her a 100 times over and will do it all over again with her by our side. She took all my Pinterest ideas, all my pictures all my inspiration and made it all come true. Simona was highly flexible in working with us as we worked through planning our wedding. We initially contacted Simona about doing a larger wedding in the future. When we decided to switch to doing a smaller more intimate ceremony with only a couple months to plan, we were worried that we weren't giving Simona enough time to pull things together.

We were sitting in Tuscany, completely lost on the steps we needed to take to create a day worth remembering. We looked for wedding planners in the area and thank God we were close to Sinalunga and Simona answered our call.

Over the course of the year planning our wedding, Simona never disappointed us, always had our back, gave us advice we never knew we needed and guided us to the perfect day on what was an incredible weekend, all through her hard work and care.

Simona fashioned a wedding **Beyond** our Dreams

Simona provided wedding planning, coordination, Italian-English translation and day-of orchestration for our most special day.

Our journey began (pretty late I might add, at only 4 months out) with us providing a requirement of a "simple local country" theme at a unrealistically too-low budget and left it to Simona's expertise to craft something we'd enjoy. Simona knows all the local vendors so she was able to list 2-3 great options for each category for us to evaluate and choose, each one with a rough price estimate. Once we discussed the ones we wanted, Simona helped us with the detailed decisions. We'd answer Simona's prompts, occasionally offer our requests as things come to us, but otherwise Simona and the vendors handled all the rest, presenting us with the plan for our approval.

One standout occasion made me understand Simona was doing this for our bliss more than any other motivation… We had come to Simona with the venue/villa chosen, having vacationed there previously. The only detail we offered Simona when discussing our vision was having the ceremony "at sunset in the little olive garden with the archway as a backdrop". At a point in the planning after much was settled, the villa host pointed out that since we were last there they began a landscaping redesign of the olive garden and it wouldn't be available for our wedding. We were devastated by this news but acquiesced and began working on an alternative ceremony location on the property. Despite that, later that week, Simona contacted us and let us know it was all sorted out and the original garden location would be available. I don't know what Simona had to do to make that happen, but the end result was our bliss.

When the special day arrived Simona's hard earned skills from high-stakes catering really shone through. It was so nice to see how calm and poised she was the whole time despite my understanding things were not quite going to plan. One of our photographers nick-named her "il Generale", presumably because she kept an iron grip on all the vendors, but I think like great military generals she also had contingencies for every possible crisis. It made me feel like she thrives in that hectic world. She is precisely the person you want coordinating on the big day to make sure everything ends up the right kind of perfect, even if it's not according to "plan". (Note, all the "issues" were caused by guests being late or having troubles, not Simona or the vendors.)

Beyond platitudes, many of our guests rank that day as the best wedding they've been to. The passion and attention to detail of Simona and all the vendors she brought was not anything you could buy in the United States. Had we tried, I’m now confident it would have cost more for a similar quality wedding at home than the wedding and the whole 2 week trip to Italy for my whole family. Thank you Simona!
