Borgo Stomennano, an ancient village just outside Monteriggioni, is a wonderful location for a wedding. I am a videographer and often film weddings here, and couples are always impressed by its charm. The property features spacious interior rooms, but the highlight is the expansive gardens and the rustic yet elegant atmosphere. Every wedding here feels truly special. I highly recommend Borgo Stomennano for couples seeking a romantic and memorable Tuscan wedding.

I had my wedding at Borgo Stomennano in October 2024, and it was truly unforgettable. My husband and I, along with 36 friends, stayed from Friday to Monday, and every guest said they have never experienced anything like it. The chance to stay in such a historic venue, surrounded by opulent decor and treated to the most delicious breakfasts, felt like a dream. Throughout the weekend, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice of venue. The grounds and villa were breathtaking, with stunning sunsets and sunrises that made every moment magical. Laura and Luisa were warm, attentive, and always there when we needed them. My friends and I joke (but also a little serious) that we’ll return to celebrate our 10-year anniversary here. Having our wedding at Borgo Stomennano, with so many friends staying on-site, made it the best weekend not only for us but also for everyone who joined us.

My husband and I got married here 2022. It was a fairytale. I could not have asked for a better venue. It was whimsical, scenic and breathtaking. If I could get married here every year I would!! The family who own this place is so gracious. They let us into their home and I will never forget it! Thank you for the memories and the best day of my life!

We came to a wedding here and everything was truly magical. The areas we used were the pool, and wedding areas and everything was beautiful. Staff great. Food amazing although this may be an outside caterer. We had the sound of cicadas everywhere!

We had the most incredible experience at Borgo Stomennano for our wedding. What a breathtaking location! Not only that, but the service and kindness shown from all staff was exceptional, they took care of our every need and would clean up or replenish things without us even noticing! The wedding event was seamless and wonderful, and breakfast was delicious as well. Thank you to Laura, Luisa and all of the team at Stomennano for an absolutely unforgettable experience!

My husband and I had our DREAM wedding here in 2023 and reserved the property for three nights with our family and friends. We selected this venue after looking into 20+ venues and nothing compared to Borgo Stomennano. The history, the enchanting grounds, and the location can't be beat. My grandmother was so overwhelmed by how perfect everything was when we arrived that she cried! We also opted for the morning breakfast, and it was truly one of the best I’ve ever had. Our family and friends were amazed; we felt incredibly spoiled by the lavish spread served each morning in such a perfect setting. Borgo Stomennano exceeded all our expectations, and we couldn't have envisioned a more perfect experience.

Just had a site inspection for a wedding we’ll be shooting here in 2025 and damn!! This is a dream venue for weddings in Tuscany. Everything is so photogenic and iconic. We loved the fact that this property has so many spots for ceremony and reception that even during rainy days you got covered with elegant and refined plan Bs. The gardens, the raw building and cypresses will give to your wedding pictures a unique and timeless touch

Borgo Stomennano is an absolute dream. The grounds are beautifully kept, and there is so much charm and character in every corner. We had our wedding here at the end of the September and people are still talking about how amazing the venue was. It truly was a dream come true having our wedding here. What makes it even more special is the love and care that comes from the Grassi family. We worked with both Luisa and Laura who are two of the sweetest people, who truly made the whole experience 10 times better. I could not recommend this venue more!

Borgo Stomennano was such a lovely venue. I photographed a wedding here for Kate and Dan during 2022 and it really was a lovely experience. Often suppliers can get forgotten at venues and we do see the other side. But it was lovely to be well looked after, communicated with and supported through the process. Such a gem of a venue in Italy.

I have just attended a memorable wedding at Borgo Stomennano and would like to add to the excellent reviews that this fairytale venue has deservedly earned. As we approached via the long meandering drive we were filled with anticipation as to what lay ahead. Jasmine filled the air, a golf buggy appeared like magic to collect our luggage and beautiful views and scenery gave constant joy. What a special place! Run with so much thought and care by the delightful owners. One can feel reassured that they know exactly what works and will help prospective brides and grooms achieve an unforgettable wedding. Nothing is too manicured but everything is attended to with care. There’s a photo opportunity whichever way you look and an air of relaxation achieved by a team who know exactly how to look after their guests. Food, wine delicious! A place to cherish and return to!

Our wedding weekend was a dream thanks to Luisa, the amazing vendors/wedding planner we had and the gorgeous Borgo Stomennano! Although both I and my now-husband are based in London/nyc and we don't speak a word of Italian, it did not pose a problem for organizing such a fantastic wedding thanks to Luisa and our vendors' responsiveness and sense of responsibility. A lot of our guests came up to us later and told us this was the most beautiful wedding venue and wedding that they've been to. People were taking photos and can't stop raving about how gorgeous everything is. ||||We had 70 guests who were all comfortably seated in the backyard for dinner, which was decorated with fairy lights. The great thing about the venue is that it has a lot of different areas for different parts of the wedding, eg: welcome drinks on the right of the entrance, ceremony/cocktails on the left of the entrance, dinner at the back and dance party/cake cutting by the pool. Our guests were constantly exploring the venue and discovering new areas as the night went on, ultimately ending in an impromptu pool party!||||Our wedding party and families stayed on-site at the venue and throughly enjoyed the beautiful facilities full of character, as well as the pool. The night after the wedding, my brothers/friends and I even hung out by the rooftop area by the pool to look at shooting stars as there was a meteor shower that night (stars are abundant and clear from the venue)!||||Luisa and team have done so many weddings that they know exactly what to expect and how to help us navigate through items like how the chairs should be transported from the front to the back for instance. She has also worked with most of our vendors before so there were no surprises there and everything went off without a hitch. ||||Plus, it's easy to get to Borgo Stomennano from the Florence airport as there is a highway connecting the two locations resulting in an easy 50 min drive. This was a huge win for our guests traveling from out of town (especially new Yorkers and Londoners who barely ever drive) and would not have enjoyed driving narrow and windy Italian roads to some of the other venues we had previously checked out.||||Thank you Luisa and family (and of course the resident great dane Dante who was the star of the show) for making our wedding so magical. Luisa hosted us and family and friends for our wedding weekend in June this year and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything came together! The Borgo is beautiful and each of our 147 guests (all of whom travelled internationally to attend) had a wonderful time.. we couldn’t have wished for more!||We had aperitivo and dinner for 90 in Monteriggioni on Friday night, our ceremony on Saturday was at San Galgano and from there we went back to the Borgo for aperitivo in the gardens whilst the sun was setting, dinner amongst the trees (magical!) and dancing by the pool. ||Luisa was a great help in organising, even when we were emailing about plans over a year in advance! It was also lovely and comforting to have her around to help coordinate throughout the weekend. ||We had a pool party on the Sunday (a real highlight!) - there was plenty of space for 100 people and a DJ and sax player. Luisa’s caterers did a great job and she also helped us arrange takeaway pizza for later in the evening and transport for the guests at the end of the night.

We were lucky enough to have our wedding reception here on a Saturday in June this year. Because we knew we would invite friends and family from around the world, we planned to have the celebration over the full weekend. In the end, we decided to stay at the borgo with our nearest and dearest for a whole week with the wedding in the middle. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The wedding was a magical experience better than our wildest dreams because of such a backdrop. But it is more than just a place for weddings. We hope to come back many times in the years to come just to stay in one of the apartments. It was the hospitality and authenticity that made the week such an incredible set of unforgettable memories. We had so many different personalities together and every single person was impressed by Luisa and Nicoletta’s way of making everyone feel totally at ease and at home. The breakfast was perfect with a wide variety of high quality food to start out the day. The infinity pool was so fun and a great place to continue spending time with friends. Each set of apartments had their own special character and offered such a nice social setting. Our rooms in the villa were like a living museum. Not to mention the location! With a car one is perfectly placed to visit all of the villages that Tuscany is famous for. We also recommend both the wine and the olive oil of the vineyard. We were so happy with our experience and highly recommend for a wedding but also just for an unforgettable holiday.

We had our wedding at Borgo Stomennano in April 2018 and this place is truly magical, a place we will never forget. You can see it is amazing from the pictures but it doesn't compare to actually being there.||Every corner and detail of the grounds and properties are simply stunning - rich and vibrant with history, elegance, detail and yet still feels wonderfully homely. We loved how this place was large enough with enough rooms to house all guests, and yet still had so many different areas for events and happenings, each with its own personality that kept the wedding fresh and interesting. The guests stayed in the rustic yet luxurious farmhouses around the infinity pool, while we stayed in the elegant Villa which was just extraordinary in every way. The ceremony was on the front lawn, apertivo in the back tree-covered garden (complete with fairytale tower!), the dinner in the beautiful frescoed ballroom, cake in the piano room, then after-party in the rustic granary room - it was just perfect. And even though this place is wonderfully managed by Luisa, Nicoletta and staff, who are amazing, it still feels like the place is your own - you are renting a stately home, not a hotel. It's a truly wonderful experience. Close to the quaint and historic Monteriggioni too (which you can walk through the olive groves too if you're up for a little hike). Stunning property!

It has taken us sometime to write this review as it is so hard to find the words to truly describe how beautiful and magical this place is.. our wedding day was everything we could have dreamed of and more!! All our family and friends comments were amazing.. many described the day and place as magical and we were often asked how we found this hidden jem, many commented that it looked like something from a magazine!! It was truly spectacular.. no picture can truly capture the incredible beauty and surrounding of the venue.. the owners take so much pride and care in looking after this wonderful place.. you must come and see it.. we can’t wait to come back at some point in the future.. we have created the fondest memories here!!|Thank you Lusia and family - lots of love Gabriella and Paolo xx
