Wonderful experience! A former J. Paul Getty residence situated just a short drive away from Fiumicino Airport. Friendly staff, excellent food and a relaxing spa and indoor swimming pool. ‘Dolce far bene’ is their motto!

We only booked a beach day and had lunch at the restaurant. Everyone was SO friendly. The food was actually so good. The private beach was a big plus. Everything nearby is so crowded. Water is included which I love. Thank you for the amazing birthday beach day.
It’s 50 mins from Rome.

Prenotato aperitivo per 4 persone. |Devo dire che il personale giovane estremamente carino e gentile. Cocktail buono, accompagnamento al cocktail scarso: parliamo di qualche tarallo, olive, giardiniera, e poco altro. Da non ripetere.|Nota estremamente dolente: la scarsa se non nulla ed inesistente disponibilità nel momento di richiesta informazioni circa la possibilità di realizzare un evento. Ci hanno rimpallato da una persona ad un'altra per tutto il tempo. Non era così pieno da giustificare questa indifferenza. Alla fine c'è ne siamo andati senza ricevere nessuna informazione.| Forse non sembravamo "abbastanza facoltosi"????

We have been visiting LPV for over a decade now and it keeps getting better. ||Locked away in a private park with a suite facing the sea, the hotel is simply enchanting. ||There’s a private beach, large indoor pool and a wonderful restaurant with a new chef making delicious contemporary dishes. ||The service is impeccable, the wait staff and bartenders friendly and professional and the management and staff work hard to address your every need. ||We will plan to return again.

Passata una notte con pranzo, cena e colazione nel 2019. Una esperienza che vale veramente la pena fare. La camera era in qualcosa un po’ datata ma comunque eccellente. Cena di qualità superiore, in una location unica, fronte mare.

Combined a lovely location, great staff, incredible views, world class cocktails and a lunch that was to die for. Party had the truffle risotto as a starter followed by sea bass and beef - if was all excellent! Well worth flying there for lunch from london !

SO much potential but quite dissapoiting.. The property is lovely but the hotel smells and is musty and prob moldy. The food is only fair and certainly not as good as il pelicano. The wine sommelier is quite rude and arrogant, and the list is very over priced. (BTW we were also a bit shocked that the bar charged 30 euros for a soda) The hotel pool is indoors. The rooms are small and the towels were rough. There is no elevator and we were asked to walk up several flights of long stairs . A mistake was made on the bill. Obviously the hotel was once special but we found the service to be lacking, and overall the property to be very expensive with few redeeming factors other then the superb view and the proximity to the Rome airport

La Posta Vecchia is a true hidden gem just 45 minutes outside the center of Rome, and it’s become our go-to for the perfect end to our Italy trips. Set on the water, this stunning estate feels more like staying in someone’s private castle than a hotel. The rooms are beautifully appointed—elegant, luxurious, and incredibly comfortable—with top-tier amenities like a high-end coffee maker and plush toiletries. Our room had breathtaking views of the ocean, adding to the peaceful, restorative vibe of the entire stay.||The service is simply impeccable. Antonio, the restaurant manager, made our stay especially memorable by organizing a beautiful birthday celebration for my daughters—his attention to detail and warmth elevated the entire experience. We used to stay in the city center for our last night, but now La Posta Vecchia is our luxurious, serene tradition. It's the perfect finale to any Italian holiday. Highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning! La Posta Vecchia is a gorgeous estate right on the water, about 45 minutes outside the center of Rome. It feels like staying in a private castle—elegant, peaceful, and full of charm. The rooms are luxurious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, with high-end amenities like a great coffee maker and top-quality toiletries. We had a room with an incredible ocean view.

The service is truly outstanding. Antonio, the restaurant manager, went above and beyond to make our stay special and even organized a lovely birthday celebration for my daughters. We used to stay in the city for our last night before flying home, but now this is our go-to. It’s the perfect, restorative end to any Italy trip. Highly recommend!

On the sea in an unusual touristic location, this hotel is worth visiting for its building and history|Build 500 years ago as a guest house for the neighboring Orsini build castle, the huge palazzo served its purpose until a fire in the XX CENTURY. |The oil millionaire Paul Getty bought the property in 1960 and undertook extensive refurbishments and converted it in what we see today. |An Italian family bought it from Getty’s estate and converted it into a hotel with much taste and antic furnitures and tapestries. |The hotel has a sand beach, presumably of artificial creation by Getty, an indoor swimming pool, a terraced restaurant and large garden on the sea. |Rooms are huge and furnished in a palatial style. |AC and WIFI work very well. |Breakfast is served buffet style. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel and menu and food were ok. |Staff is well trained and kind.|We had the Castello corner suite which consisted of an open plan huge room with sofa, reading chairs, a large bathroom and closet facing the sea.

Ci sono certi luoghi indimenticabili, il cui ricordo desideri sempre rinnovare. La posta vecchia è un luogo unico, magico, la location è mozzafiato e il personale e di una gentilezza straordinaria. Quest’anno la cucina, che è sempre stata ottima, ha fatto un salto di qualità straordinaria ed è diventata eccellente con il nuovo chef nel momento in cui vai via, non fai altro che pensare a quando puoi ritornare. La proprietà ha creato una struttura di ospitalità straordinaria.

We had the most incredible stay with La Posta Vecchia! The location, attention to detail, service at a venue that’s impeccably designed and decorated. It was our first stay after landing in Rome, and every hotel thereafter does not measure up. Cannot wait to be back!

Arriving at La Posta Vecchia, with the view out to the sea through the billowing curtains of an elegant villa with mature gardens and Roman ruins sets the tone for an unforgettable stay. The staff could not have been more welcoming or thoughtful. The decor is chic, the food outstanding, and the view over the sea and Castello Odescalchi is mesmerising. The team clearly love their work and are passionate about hospitality. |A place to come back to again and again.

We've enjoyed other Pellicano Group Hotels (Mezzatorre / Il Pellicano), and wanted to stay outside of Rome before our flight home, so this place felt perfect. Unfortunately, the multiple screaming and comically ill behaved children throughout our quick stay completely tainted the experience. I don't understand how the Pellicano Group, which on paper are the best of the best hotels in Italy, do not impose an age limit, or at the barest minimum, tranquility standards that are enforced. The staff seemed fully aware of the noise and the disruptions to other guests, especially coming from the indoor pool as it was impossible to escape anywhere on the terrace, but they did not approach the parents. We got a small break when the pool closed, but while enjoying our dinner on the terrace, one child ran through with his shirt off looking for his parents that had decided to eat without him, and yet nothing but shrugs from the staff. I'm not sure if this is the same child that we heard while we were trying to sleep later that night, but needless to say we didn't sleep, and most likely won't return unless noise standards are imposed.

Increible y precioso hotel con tranquilidad y disfrute a niveles maximos. Quieres sentirte como una princesa unos dias???hello....este es tu sitio....es un lujo a un precio aceptable, con una gran cocina y con su grandioso chef, no podria faltar una hermosisisisima cartita de vinitos y cervezas y un personal amigable y respetuoso que ara de la estancia tan sumamente perfecta que eso de la frase........"como en casa en ningun sitio"......una gran pantomima!!!!!!

Uno de los hoteles mas bonitos que era el correo postal, es íntimo y acogedor, un lugar increible para pasar unos dias en pareja, ademas la sommelier es unica, hemos probado de los mejores vinos, la cocina maravillosa. Simplemente no te quieres ir de ahi.

Un lugar con magia y escencia italiana. El complejo , como hotel, es relativamente nuevo. Ya en la época de los Césares estaba construída. Con sucesivas reformas se "aggiorno" . Piscina espectacular. Habitaciones eternas con baños de la época pompeyana. Atención ecxelente. Un "hay que verlo y vivirlo"

La localización es mágica, apartado de todo, el mar ante tí y una zona verde a tu espalda. El sitio tiene historia, alma, mucha magia. El Staff es fantástico!! Muy por encima de la espectativas y la comida es entrañable. Playa propia, Spa, piscina, paseos en bici, gastronomia, historia..... La Posta Vecchia lo tiene absolutamente todo, incluído WiFi. ;-)
