A Fairy-Tale Wedding Brought to Life

Trying to put into words what Leontine created for us feels almost impossible—because she didn’t just plan a wedding; she crafted a dream, a feeling, a once-in-a-lifetime experience that still brings tears to my eyes.

From the moment we began working together, Leontine proved that she is by far the most extraordinary wedding planner anyone could ever imagine. She doesn’t simply organize—she listens. She is present, available, intuitive, and she guides you step by step with a calm, caring confidence that makes you feel like everything is possible. She took the time to truly understand who we are, individually and as a couple, and somehow translated our personalities into an event that felt like pure magic.

And she did all of this during COVID—with only six months to plan.

We chose Florence for our celebration, and what unfolded over our three-day wedding at the breathtaking Villa Cora exceeded every dream we ever had. Surrounded by our guests, we began with a warm rehearsal dinner followed by a spellbinding flamenco concert that set the tone for the enchantment to come.

The next day, we exchanged vows in the historic Palazzo Vecchio—a setting so beautiful it felt unreal. Afterward, an opera singer welcomed us into the celebration, followed by a joyful happy hour accompanied by a string quartet. Our wedding dinner back at Villa Cora was decorated with the most exquisite table settings; every detail radiated elegance and intention. Then came fireworks, and finally, an unforgettable dance party in the cellar, complete with the most incredible musicians.

And the magic didn’t stop there.

The next morning began with a wonderful brunch, followed by a downhill bicycle tour through Florence—because Leontine somehow knew exactly what we and our guests would enjoy. Everyone was placed into little groups, savoring the city, the sunshine, the gelato, the laughter. Then we floated peacefully on gondolas along the river before concluding with a beautiful farewell lunch at the stunning Palazzo Gondi.

Every moment flowed effortlessly. Every detail was perfect. Every surprise felt crafted with love.

What truly sets Leontine apart is not only her impeccable taste or flawless execution, but her heart. Her personal attention, her patience with our stories and ideas, her genuine interest in who we are—it made her feel less like a planner and more like family. I still don’t know how she managed to make the impossible possible, but she did. Seamlessly. Joyfully. Beautifully.

Leontine, thank you. You are the best of the best. Your vision, your skill, your warmth, and your devotion created a wedding far beyond our wildest dreams.

My daughter's wedding was arranged by Leontine of Il Matrimonio Italiano, and not only the wedding day but the entire weekend. We had guests from all continents and booked the entire Montegridolfo location. Leontine arranged our invitations, flowers, hairdresser and make up artist, location and catering. She did a great job and we are extremely happy and thankful.
