This is a gem of an Agriturismo in the midst of beautiful Sicilian countryside. Anna, the administrator, was extremely helpful both before and during our stay. Anna, the cook, prepared delicious, abundant meals for us. We wish we could have stayed there! The Frappato wine and the olive oil produced there, are second to none.

Rooms were impeccably clean, we could use bicycles to explore the surrounding countryside and could also use the pool, tennis court and table tennis in the games room.

Will definitely return to Villa Zottopera!

Definitely one of the great jewels in the crown of Sicilian hospitality. The eighteenth-century estate is lovingly managed by the Rosso family, and provides an effortlessly graceful, serene and welcoming setting for unforgettable family breaks. The historic property has been very thoughtfully adapted into apartments for different tastes and needs. In our case, as our parents who are over 80 were travelling with us, the ground floor apartments were ideal. The villa is very well located as a base to explore southeast Sicily, from Caltagirone to Ragusa, Modica and around. Or you can laze by the pool, brush up your tennis, or try the table tennis. The heart of the villa is the kitchen, where Anna turns out memorable breakfasts which are served on the terrace, and for those who book half board, even more memorable dinners. Home-made produce and ingredients from the estate itself or from the rich agricultural land that surrounds it are the rule of the day.

This place is absolutely wonderful, full of beauty and history. It’s run by an amazing family whose warmth makes you feel instantly at home. The food is simply outstanding, prepared fresh every day by the lovely Anne, whose cooking is beyond delicious. If I could, I would give it 100/10. I totally recommend this place! The owners also make their own olive oil and wine, which makes the experience even more special. We were there with our little dog, who could stay with us everywhere all the time – it truly felt like her best holiday too :)

This place was the best experience we could find in Sicily. It's an entire domain with olive trees, vineyard, a pool and peaceful rooms. Ana, the administrator, is very kind and helpful, we even bought delicious olive oil produced by them. And Ana, the chef, is an amazing lady that cooks for the guests traditional dishes with local products, that are incredible! This is a hidden gem that offered a beautiful experience and we definitely want to come back!

Abbiamo festeggiato il nostro matrimonio in questa location stupenda e alloggiato nelle camere del baglio e della casa padronale. È stata una giornata indimenticabile e dobbiamo ringraziare tutto lo staff, persone disponibili e gentilissime, la signora Anna che ci ha deliziato con i suoi piatti squisiti durante la permanenza in struttura e Alfredo e Marcello che sono venuti incontro alle nostre esigenze. Anna in reception si è fatta in 4 per aiutarci con l'organizzazione dell'evento e la sistemazione degli ospiti nelle camere del baglio e la casa padronale bellissima e suggestiva per chi ama il genere tipico da masseria siciliana. Persone stupende, location mozzafiato e cibo buono e genuino. 5 stelle non bastano per recensire la nostra soddisfazione per il servizio che abbiamo ricevuto. Grazie ancora a tutto lo staff di Villa Zottopera.

Abbiamo festeggiato il nostro matrimonio a Villa Zottopera. E' stato un sogno. Ci siamo innamorati del posto dalla prima visita, aveva tantissimo potenziale e non ci sbagliavamo.
I proprietari Alfredo e Marcello sono stati super disponibili cercando di venirci incontro in ogni nostra richiesta.
Location bellissima, tenuta benissimo, il posto ideale per festeggiare un matrimonio tipico siciliano e per stare in relax immersi nella natura. Camere pulitissime e attrezzate di ogni comfort, tipica villa siciliana.
La cuoca Anna è una persona deliziosa, tanto quanto i suoi piatti. Squisiti è dir poco, materie prime di ottima qualità, prodotti tipici locali. Una delizia! Degno di nota anche il vino fatto da Marcello.
Un ringraziamento speciale ad Anna, la receptionist, dire receptionist è diminuitivo. Ci ha aiutati e supportati nell'organizzazione di alcuni dettagli del matromonio, molto professionale e simpatica, persona dolcissima e super disponibile. E' una ciliegina sulla torta in questo posto già spettacolare. Non vediamo l'ora di ritornare!!

Belle propriété agricole (vin, huile, agrumes) faite de bâtiments anciens avec cour intérieure et autour de laquelle sont répartis des logements spacieux (Chambre-séjour-SàM, SdB, Cuisine).
Piscine au sein d'un magnifique jardin parfumé (agrumes, pittosporum). Petit-déjeuner et diner découverte composés de délicieux produits locaux magnifiquement cuisinés par Anna.

Soggiornare a Villa Zottopera è stato come fare un viaggio nel passato.
Le mura antiche, i cortili e il frantoio rendono affascinante questo luogo incastonato tra ulivi secolari.
Gradevole l'appartamento dotato di ogni comfort e la zona relax con piscina.
Un riconoscimento speciale va alla signora Anna che ci ha coccolati con il suo ottimo cibo fatto con passione, ma soprattutto alla sua attenzione e premura nei nostri confronti, che hanno reso il nostro soggiorno indimenticabile.
Posto sicuramente consigliato per chi vuole rivivere la genuinità e i valori di un tempo.

Struttura con enormi potenzialità. Peccato che la manutenzione è praticamente assente, sia negli alloggi che nelle aree comuni. Anche l’accoglienza andrebbe migliorata: siamo arrivati alle 11:30, l’alloggio ci è stato consegnato alle 14:30 e abbiamo dovuto sistemarci con le addette alle pulizie ancora in camera (da premettere che avevamo comunicato l’ora di arrivo). Al check out però erano dietro la porta alle 10:30 (anche per questo avevamo concordato di liberare l’alloggio alle 11:00). Anche l’igiene andrebbe attenzionata meglio: decine di formiche in cucina. Per eliminarle hanno cosparso la cucina con un kilo di baygon (non so se fosse peggio avere le formiche o il veleno in cucina!!). Abbiamo consumato una buona cena: buone le pietanze e gentili le signore che le hanno preparate e servite (anche se una bottiglia di vino prodotto da loro a 18€ mi sembra esagerato. Con 21 ci ho comprato il Nobile di Montepulciano a Montepulciano!). Nel complesso un’esperienza appena sufficiente. Ripeto. Peccato perché la location è bellissima e ben posizionata: potrebbe essere un paradiso di relax nella val di Noto… potrebbe!!

We got married at Zottopera last summer and stayed in the villa for 3 nights with 24 close friends and family. Anna, Alfredo, Marcello and the rest of the family are the most generous and hospitable people you will ever meet and staying at Villa Zottoprta felt like staying with family! Not only did they arrange the most gorgeous wedding ceremony and party for us, with all our needs catered for. They also created the best atmosphere and holiday we've had in years. Anna is the most incredible chef (even better than my wife who's also a chef and would agree with me here), Please make sure you eat ALL your meals at Anna's table. And while you are there Marcellos wine is the most gorgeous pairing! Crisp and refreshing Grillo and our favourite - the juicy and delicate frapatto can't go untested. We actually drank up Marcellos supply during our 3 night stay... Safe to say it was delicious!

The olive oil is also cant go unmentioned. It is the best olive oil we have ever had! So good in fact that it can be drunk straight out the bottle... If you have any interest in food, you will not be disappointed at Zottopera. The villa and the grounds are also spectacular, but what really sets Zottopera apart are the incredible hosts you will meet there.

We cannot wait to return many times in the future.

We had the best time! The owners and Anna, the chef, were exceptionally kind and welcoming. We did a cooking class and she explained everything with full heart and in detail. For lunch, we also got to taste Marcello‘s wine, which is also so great! Thank you so much for the best experience in Italy so far!

Wow, there aren't enough words to say about how amazing this property and, especially, the people there are. We were lucky enough to stay here for 5 nights during my brothers wedding and it was absolutely magical. From the views, to the gorgeous property, you truly feel like you are on a movie set. And the best part is, the food is even better thanks to their chef, Anna, who was just so kind and makes one of the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Anna, Alfredo, Giuseppe and Marcello are what make this place so special, oh and the delicious wine and olive oil.

Una esperienza che ci ha toccato!....ti ritrovi immerso nella campagna "ragusana" tra vigne e oliveti. Un casale storico meraviglioso, finemente curato e lasciato nella sua semplicità. Abbiamo alloggiato (purtropppo) solo 3 giorni subito dopo ferragosto; ci ha accolti la sig.ra Anna, una meravigliosa "cristianazza" dalle mani d'oro. La sera a cena, preparata da lei, ci ha fatti tuffare in un revival di ricordi della cucina delle nostre nonne dove anche la semplice pasta con il sugo delle polpettine fatta ai bimbi era sublime. Seduti tra l'altro in un terrazzo bordo piscina che emanava il profumo intenso dei carrubbi. Durante il bagno in piscina, non puoi non prendere dei fichi dall'albero e mangiartene qualcuno......e se si ha destrezza si riesce anche amngiare qualche gelso nero senza sporcarsi troppo le mani. L'angolo relax sotto gli alberi è meraviglioso come meravigliosa è tutta la campagna di ulivi dentro cui passeggiare.|Inotre, per chi ha dei bimbi, ci sono due meravigliosi cagnoloni buonissimi pronti ad accogliere le coccole dei bimbi.|Ci rivedremo....mi auguro presto.

We stayed in the Casa della Mannira at Villa Zottopera for 1 week in August 2023 (family of 4, there was a double room and a twin room). The location and surroundings are fantastic, lovely pool, Anna is a charming host, great tennis court. We paid for breakfast most mornings and had 3 dinners, all of which were excellent and very good value. We enjoyed a tour of the olive oil production at the farm and I have honestly never tasted olive oil like it! The only complaint is that the air conditioning unit in the apartment is situated in the main bedroom, and while very effective at cooling that room, the rest of the apartment became quite warm. Also, the self-catering facilities are very basic (you are well advised to not try to cook for yourself and just book breakfast and dinner every day as these are so good!)

Nos alojamos unos días, cuando estábamos de paso recorriendo todo sicilia. Es auténticamente y absolutamente RURAL. Es decir, tiene muchas comodidades, una piscina muy agradable, pero sobre todo es para descansar y desconectar.||Lo mejor la cocina de Anna. Unos raviolis impresionantes, y una carne de llorar.||GRACIAS por tratarnos tan bien en nuestra estancia, volveremos seguro.
