Le porzioni erano estremamente scarse e la qualità complessiva ben lontana da quanto il prezzo farebbe immaginare. Rapporto qualità/prezzo totalmente deludente, ulteriormente confermato dalla mancata risposta alla mia e-mail di protesta.

Choosing Castello di Montignano for our wedding was, without a doubt, the best decision we ever made. We had the most incredible few days celebrating in Umbria, and we are so thankful we found this truly magical venue.

The entire experience, from start to finish, was defined by the extraordinary kindness and professionalism of the staff. Every single person was friendly, welcoming, and instrumental in making our vision a reality. In particular, we must give a special mention to David, who was simply amazing. His dedication, guidance, and attentive nature ensured everything ran perfectly, giving us absolute peace of mind from when we first viewed the venue through to us checking out. We cannot thank you enough David!! We also want to thank Eva! Who again, is incredible! And ensured everything ran smoothly, with the warmest and biggest smile!

While we did have a slight bit of rain on our wedding day, the team handled the situation remarkably. The transition to our indoor reception was seamless, avoiding any stress and allowing us to proceed straight into having the best day/night of our lives. This level of calm, coordinated service speaks volumes about the venue’s expertise.

Finally, the food deserves its own praise. It was truly incredible from the welcome dinner through to our pool party BBQ We had so many of our guests comment that it was the absolute best wedding food they had ever eaten.
We keep reliving our wedding through our photos and videos, and it’s all thanks to the impeccable service and breathtaking setting. We highly recommend this venue to any couple dreaming of an unforgettable Italian wedding. Thank you for making our wedding so perfect guys, forever grateful.

Our wedding over three months ago at Castello di Montignano was pure magic from start to finish!
From the moment we booked the venue, the staff at Castello were so helpful in every way to assist us in planning our perfect wedding weekend!
Alongside planning all the events at the castle, the staff also assisted us in sourcing florals, additional accommodation for guest, bus transfers etc! All these aspects really helped us, when planning from Ireland!
As our special day approached, all the plans and visions really started to come to life and we were so excited arriving in Umbria!
Our wedding weekend was so unique and fantastic fun from start to finish! I would highly recommend booking the castle for 3 days to really enjoy all the amenities there are on offer!
We would like to especially thank David, Eva and Giuseppe who really guided and supported us to have the best weekend ever.. thank you so much for all your help and smiling faces over our wedding weekend!
All of our guests had the most magical weekend ever in the Italian countryside and commented so highly on the food and drink, accommodation, friendliness of staff and of course the beautiful castle itself!
We would recommend anyone looking to enjoy a one of a kind, magical, rustic and joyful wedding weekend in Italy, to book Castello di Montignano!

Seeing all these wonderful reviews about weddings here reminds me of us paying this guy 21,000 for my daughter's wedding and then covid hit and he would not refund any of our money nor could we EVER get him to reschedule it. It was devastating for my daughter and it is criminal. After endless phone calls and promises of a refund payment plan, no money ever came. We had stayed there many times prior to this and considered him a friend. He is not a good guy. Guiseppe, if you are reading this I am still waiting for my money and I will continue to review your site until you call us with some kind of resolution. We have NOT forgotten!

We truly cannot thank the team at Castello di Montignano enough for making our wedding week an absolute dream. We spent three unforgettable days at the castle, each one filled with thoughtfully curated events, unforgettable moments, and impeccable hospitality. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of magical.

To Giuseppe, David, Eva, and the entire staff: your warmth and care for every detail made us and our guests feel so special. You went above and beyond in every way - not just for us, but for every single person who walked through those castle doors. Our friends and family are still talking about how incredible it all was.

The property itself is breathtaking - photos do not even begin to do it justice! The castle was like stepping back in time. It’s authentically Italian, beautifully preserved, and rich with history. The setting, the food, the views, the ambiance was fantastic.

It was the most intimate, elevated, and personal experience we could have ever imagined. Every moment felt curated and intentional, and it made for the most meaningful celebration we could have asked for.

Where do I begin to start with our experience at Castello di Montignano.... we celebrated our wedding weekend on 26th April 2025 and it was the most magical, incredible and sensational weekend we could have wished for! I cannot begin to thank the team at the venue, Giuseppe, Eva, David, Cristina and co.. every single person we dealt with was absolutely amazing from start to finish! We had 100 guests for the whole weekend, our welcome evening was a pizza night in the castle itself as it rained outside, this worked out so well, the drinks were flowing, the food was amazing and our guests had such a great welcome. On the wedding day itself we had our ceremony in the Hortus (this was just magical) the sun as shining, we had a string quartet and it was so special. All the flowers were in bloom in the Hortus as well so it complimented everything we added in with our florist. Our drinks reception was in the pool park all the food was class and then we had our dinner in the Pavillon which was unbelievable! We were a bit worried about what the Irish would say about the food but everyone has been raving about it, we have 2 pasta courses and then a Beef Fillet - every course had seconds offered to all our guests.. incredible. I've never had so many compliments about the wine we selected which was the local wine it was unreal. Our cake display was outside where we had fireworks and then danced the night away in the Pavillon. On the 3rd day we had a BBQ meal in the Pavillon again the food was delicious and we had drinks flowing for the whole day. The staff were the same staff for the whole weekend each one of them cared so much about us and our guests wanting us to have the best time which we did. People are saying it was the best wedding they have been too!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone at Castello di Montignano, it really felt like our home for the whole weekend - if you are consdeirng booking your wedding here, do!! We celebrated our wedding at Castello di Montignano in April 2024 and it was a magical experience! Our guests had a wonderful time throughout the three days we enjoyed our welcome dinner, wedding day and barbecue there. Myself and my husband got married here in May 2023, we had visited the venue the year previously and it was the perfect place for our special day.

We had 30 family and friends and we all stayed in the castle, the staff were incredible we had everything we needed/wanted, nothing was too big an ask!
All our guests loved their rooms and whole the occasion was perfect from start to finish.

The food was amazing and all 3 days were beyond our expectations. Such a magical place to spend such a special occasion. Can't thank everyone enough for the whole experience.

Amazing wedding venue! ||We recently had our 2 day wedding event at Castello Di Montignano in September 2023 and we loved every minute of it!|After reading great reviews we were confident we had chosen the right venue for us but it really did exceed all our expectations. ||We booked 2 days of exclusive use of the castle which included the wedding day and the ‘Day 2 Pizza party’ which was amazing! We wish we could have spent more time there. | |The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Nicole, the in house wedding planner who would made everyone feel so at home and relaxed during our stay. Nicole could not have done more for us and was there to make sure everything went perfectly. We had many comments about how pleasant Nicole what a fantastic host she was! ||Those guests that stayed at the castle had exclusive use to the grounds which included sauna, spa, outdoor pool, comfortable and spacious rooms which everyone loved! ||The food and wine were amazing throughout, with the truffle pasta being a real hit with the guests. ||Overall we cannot really fault anything about our experience over the 2 days, we just wish we could relive it over again. ||We had the best time ever with all our family and friends. It was so much fun! ||Thank you to Nicole, Guiseppe and the team , we can’t wait to come back and visit!

10/10 recommendation for Castello Di Montignano!|| ||We got married in the church on site at Castello Di Montignano in August 2023.||We had a three day celebration starting with a pasta party, the wedding day and finally a pizza party at the pool garden.||Our guests were blown away by the venue and continuously complimented the venue, food and scenery. Everyone was so relaxed and just enjoyed themselves!|| ||We were so lucky to find a venue with a church, a pool and accommodation all on site but having Giuseppe and Nicole manage the venue was the real bonus!||We had the best three days ever and would do it all again next Summer if we could!|| ||Giuseppe and Nicole were exceptional and went above and beyond for us over the three days, we can’t thank them enough for the experience we had.||All our friends and family are just hoping we renew our vows in 10 years’ time so we can celebrate all over again!!|| ||I cannot recommend Castello Di Montignano enough as a wedding venue, it’s really one in a million. Fantastic venue for anyone who wants to celebrate, have fun and a stress free wedding!

Gorgeous property for a wonderful wedding. I was recently married at Castello di Montignano this summer and could not have had a better experience. Weddings of course have their moments of insanity and problems but the owner and staff here were wonderful and helped problem solve in every capacity. The property itself is beautiful with a park and pool and gorgeous vistas of the countryside and sunflower fields and the rooms are comfortable and unique and spacious. The building is all beautiful stone, the breakfast buffet was excellent and the reception of everyone was warm and welcoming. The staff helped coordinate wedding details as well and their knowledge of the vendors and local area was extremely helpful. We had a boutique and intimate wedding and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and I can't wait to go back and visit. Thank you to Giuseppe the owner and Nicole the in house wedding planner along with the rest of the staff for a fantastic experience!! <3

We got married here in 2023 and overall had an amazing experience. It was so special to have the entire venue just for us and our guests for the full weekend, and the team were so kind and couldn’t do enough for us. Some of the rooms are a little dated but other than that we were so happy. The food was AMAZING!!! There is a calm, romantic and intimate energy at Castello Di Montignano which is so special! Giuseppe and Nicole are absolutely great!

We got married at Castello Montignano in October 2022, and it exceeded all our expectations. |We booked the 3 day exclusive package which was definitely worth every penny. We couldn’t recommend this package more – we had complete use of the venue, everyone felt so at home and relaxed for the few days we were there. The staff couldn’t do more for us, we had complete use of the facilities in the castle including the spa which had a sauna and jacuzzi pool – this was a great hit with all of our guests and could be used at any time of the day. It was the perfect cure every morning! |The whole planning process was so smooth as Beatrice is there to help every step of the way. We didn’t think it would be that easy to plan everything as we are both from Ireland, but through zoom calls and emails and our one visit for the menu tasting, we felt that everything was always covered. Mariana, the florist who works in the castle directly, also did an amazing job at bringing our ideas to life. Just from sending a few photos, and meeting the day of our menu tasting, Mariana really just knew exactly what we wanted. All of our other suppliers were recommended by the castle which was another hard part of planning a wedding from a different country but having recommendations to hand really made this and easier process for us. |The wedding day was amazing from start to finish. The whole day ran so smoothly and was so well planned out by Beatrice, she even had followed up with some of our suppliers the day before to make sure they were all set and had everything planned out with all of them too which really gave us complete comfort in everything going to plan. Every part of the day was thought through and we felt that we could just enjoy the day knowing the staff had everything under control in the background. The food was absolutely delicious, we are still hearing about how great it was from our guests weeks later! |If you are planning a wedding in Italy, we really recommend having your wedding at Castello di Montignano – the venue, food, staff, views were all perfect and we can’t wait to visit again!|

Location per il nostro matrimonio, celebrato a Perugia il 27 agosto 2022, con circa 130 ospiti. Dopo la cerimonia ci siamo trasferiti al castello per il ricevimento (aperitivo di benvenuto, cena e dopo cena). Dopo la festa ci siamo trattenuti per la notte con circa 35 ospiti (avevamo richiesto l'utilizzo esclusivo della struttura e di tutte le camere) e anche per questi servizi siamo stati totalmente soddisfatti. Organizzazione impeccabile nonostante il meteo non fosse dei migliori, abbiamo avuto frequenti contatti con lo staff del Castello sia nei giorni immediatamente precedenti all'evento sia nei mesi precedenti, per definire insieme tutti gli aspetti. Non ci siamo avvalsi del servizio di wedding planning offerto direttamente dalla struttura ma i consigli dello staff sono stati comunque preziosi per la scelta dei fornitori, in particolare l'intrattenimento musicale. Menù concordato con largo anticipo con ampia possibilità di scelta e personalizzazione. Ci sono stati proposti piatti anche per bambini e persone con necessità specifiche (vegetariani/vegani e celiachi). Tutto l'evento ha dimostrato la grande professionalità, esperienza e capacità dello staff nell'organizzazione di questo tipo di eventi. Consigliamo vivamente il castello di Montignano e ringraziamo ancora tutte le persone che hanno reso possibile il nostro evento.

Il castello sicuramente è molto bello, non abbiamo visitato le camere. la scarsa manutenzione e la mancanza di attenzione ai dettagli ne sminuisce il valore. Per non parlare della miseria dei buffet sia all'antipasto sia ai dolci, di certo non per causa dei committenti. Certi gestori non dovrebbero avere la possibilità di disporre di strutture tanto belle perché non le meritano e non dovrebbero credersi capaci di curare neppure una parte della festa di chiunque perché non sono adeguati. ||Unica nota positiva la cortesia,velocità e pazienza del servizio ai tavoli. Bravi bravi al personale di sala.

Nuestra estancia ha sido absolutamente maravillosa. A la llegada, tras un camino complicado y poco iluminado, no te esperas encontrar un castillo del siglo XI en un pueblo de 15 habitantes y con tanto encanto. Nuestra habitación, Ciaravalle, era una suite de dos habitaciones (cada una con una cama doble), con mesita, chimenea, varias ventanas, balcón ,baño con todas las comodidades e incluso albornoces para poder bajar directamente en ascensor al spa. Todo está restaurado y decorado con un gusto exquisito y minimalista. El desayuno es un pequeño buffet con lo suficiente (no hay zumo natural pero los capuccinos son riquísimos). Se puede cenar en el mismo Castello, es una sala muy romántica y la comida es de gran nivel (magnífica la carne local a la brasa, fileteada, y la pasta) con un precio medio-alto y conviene dejarse aconsejar en los vinos (tomamos "El Gaio", riquísimo). Eso sí, destacaría el trarto cariñoso, cercano y profesional de todo el personal. Grazie mille!!!!!!
