We had our wedding here. The power constantly went out. They made us use their people and their people sucked. Its owned by these French folks and they are very snobby. I wouldn't recommend it. They claim you get all these rooms you can stay in. Surprise they under under construction. I had to spend a fortune on hotels for all my guests. The response was “this is life”

As a wedding planner, it was an absolute pleasure to plan a styled shoot at Villa Astor. One of the most beautiful wedding venues I have ever seen as a wedding photographer. It feels like being in another world.

As Wedding photographers, we really love Villa Astor as a Wedding venue! It's a little tropical paradise in the heart of Sorrento. The Villa has a very timeless design so you can create different Wedding concepts and styles there. There are sleeping opportunities for the couple and their closest family, a beautiful terrasse, a kitchen, dining room that can be also used for a Wedding dinner as a Plan B option. The garden itself is huge and has lots of corners for the Ceremony Setup. The view over Vesuvius is breathtaking! Sophia and Lidia are very helpful and always help with their advice. Amazing venue but you will lose money on your security deposit and there are a ton of incremental hidden costs.

We had our wedding here recently and loved the venue and our wedding. However if you do consider renting the venue, be aware that the pricing is opaque and management finds a myriad of creative ways to make the total cost increase.

As a point of reference, ultimately, we had another $10,000 deducted from our security deposit for "electricity fees," "cleanings and repairs," and due to a lack of reimbursement for certain wire transfer fees.

This is not to mention a number of other incremental costs for bathroom attendants, kitchen use fees and requiring us to rent a generator (these are incremental to the $10,000 lost in the security deposit).

The process is difficult and took several weeks and there is really no means of debating anything.

Again the venue itself is amazing and we loved having our wedding here, but all of the hidden, incremental costs are worth noting.

I would budget an extra ~$15,000 to $20,000 for all of the additional costs and charges.

The most dreamy Venue ever! I don't have enough words to descrive the magic of this timeless place that you can breathe as soon as you arrive in Villa Astor.This is one of my favorite Italian venues, I really suggest this location for its magnificence and for the property, very helpful and welcoming! ....I'm totally in love with the Spectacular Gargen and the swimming pool, the view over Sorrento, the elegance of the rooms...and the unique "Dolce Vita" Vibe that you can breathe!

This magnificent villa is situated right on the very edge of the mountain in one of the most beautiful places of the world, the Amalfi Coast.
The tropical garden around the villa is absolutely stunning, but the view over the sea, the city of Naples and Vesuvius Mount will take your breath away! You couldn’t ask for a more impressive and picturesque place, but at the same time so peaceful and quiet!

As a big fan of natural materials, my personal highlights during the stay at Villa Astor included discovering one of a kind marblework throughout interiors and exterior (villa garden hosts stunning marble pool). Lush villa gardens opening up to cliff side seascape of the Gulf of Naples are another wonder hosting endless varieties of tropical plants and trees, a peaceful place to get lost during long relaxing walks, quiet and undisturbed by the bustling life of Sorrento just few steps from the villa.

Villa Astor is truly a gem of Sorrento. If you are looking for a villa with elegance, historical background as well as an incredible tropical feeling to it and breath-taking views, then it is definitely a place for you. Once you visit the villa, you can’t help but fall in love with it.

Although Villa Astor has a lot of artwork and historical objects (such as a part of Roman Forum in the garden and many others from modern to antique objects), it feels warm and comfortable, like home, thanks to the welcoming owners and the staff.

It is so rare to find a place that in itself incorporates high-end design, with attention to every detail (recently has been renowned by an architect and interior designer, Jacques Garcia), while preserving the original atmosphere and style of the estate.

If you are planning a vacation or an event on Villa Astor is a place like no other, where you can fully enjoy the splendor of the Amalfi Coast, while staying in elegantly decorated interiors, taking a walk through one of the most beautiful gardens in Italy and having a breakfast with a view on Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius.
