We truly cannot recommend Cheryl enough. Planning an international wedding in Italy could have been overwhelming, but she made the entire process feel smooth and manageable from start to finish. From our very first Zoom calls, she was organized, responsive, and incredibly reassuring. If there’s one thing you, the reader of this review, need to know, it’s that Cheryl and her team are truly the best of the best.

My husband and I were referred to Cheryl by a customer of my dad. We knew that she was an Amalfi Coast based wedding planner, but we were looking to get married in Rome. She agreed to meet with us, two years before our planned wedding. We were hoping to just get a recommendation for a wedding planner in Rome, but were thrilled beyond belief when she said that she’d plan our Rome wedding.

From that moment on, we had absolute trust in Cheryl. She had never planned a wedding in Rome, but we honestly had no choice but to put our full faith in her and her team! One of the first major things that happened in our time with Cheryl was our original venue falling through pretty early on. Cheryl went to Rome for the weekend to venue scout for us. She knew our vision and not only found the perfect wedding venue, but also stumbled across the perfect venue for our welcome party!

Over the next year and a half of planning, we were so in sync with Cheryl. It was like we were reading each others’ minds when it came to the full vision for the wedding weekend. Everything was executed to absolute perfection.

Cheryl also has amazing wedding vendor connections throughout Italy, and recommended at least half, if not all, of our vendors to us. All of her recommendations were, again, perfect.

Cheryl’s signature phrase is “I’ve got you,” and she truly does. She has your back no matter what. We wouldn’t have wanted to do our wedding with anyone else.

We had a dream of what our wedding should be, and Cheryl made it a reality. This was the best weekend of our lives, and it would not have been so without her.
Cheryl took the time to get to know us and seemed to intuitively understand our needs and priorities from the beginning. During the planning process, she presented us with an array of venues and suppliers, including food providers, florists, hair and makeup stylists and photographers. Important choices to be sure, but she never once pressured us to go beyond our budget, and she was even willing to make those small decisions where we had no opinions but which were ultimately necessary to ensure perfection. She made the planning process fun! We joke that she is the Mayor of Sorrento - given how well connected she is. She never once showed annoyance when we asked a million questions or changed our minds.

Sensational from start to finish.... Our journey with Cheryl and Bella Sposa began in the midst of COVID through a video chat in November 2020. Cheryl's charm, professionalism and vision of bringing our dreams of a destinantion wedding in Italy set her apart from 3 other local venue's and planners we interviewed. Once we committed Cheryl met with us virtually (as we're from Canada) for over a year and half through a detailed and scheduled process that made our wedding planning a breeze. Her proactive approach and organization for our day made the planning seamless and to the surprise of many friends and family who lament that "wedding planning is soooo stressful ins't it?"... not with Cheryl! On the day of, after 19 months of virtual planning, Cheryl orchestrated the most spectatcular day of our lives amongst 70 guests in Sorrento. I just have to say that we LOVE Bella Sposa. Cheryl and Cat were great not only to Marlon and me but my family too. Cheryl went planned the wedding from Sorrento while I was in Miami and took the time to get to know us and asked what we liked and managed to turn a few pictures into magic. The welcome party was amazing so beautifully decorated and so much fun!! She was there to tend to every detail, she even helped me change out of my shoes so I could keep dancing!
The wedding was perfect, better than I had even envisioned it, the best part (for me haha) no stress on the wedding day or welcome party. I did not have to worry about anything other than to have fun.
Every vendor she suggested was spot on, the venues and entertainment.
Not only were they very profesional but also fun! They danced with us and were part of the celebration too which we loved.

Growing up with access to Pinterest, I had maybe 10 different weddings planned for myself long before ever finding my guy. However, once he finally popped the question, I realized I hadn’t updated any of my “dream wedding” ideas since high school and nothing I had pinned in the past felt like “me” anymore. All I knew was that I wanted to get married in Italy and we’d find a way to pull the rest together. And by “find a way” I really mean we found Cheryl at Bella Sposa. From the moment we received her email response to our inquiry for a wedding planner, we knew we had found the right person. We had already booked a villa (Oasi Olimpia) that would comfortably house the wedding party and our families (25 people) for the week. Given Cheryl’s vast experience with planning events in Italy, she was very familiar with the villa and its manager. From our first Zoom meeting she laid out the plan for how we would pull this off since we were in the US and had no idea where to begin. It was a huge bonus that she was fluent in both English and Italian, so we never had any language barriers to navigate. I’d write a novel if I wanted to list everything she did to make our wedding day/week such a memorable, enchanting time, but here are a few things that were very helpful to us:
• Cheryl provided a short list of experienced vendors that she knew would provide a professional service. Each of the vendors on her lists (photographers, videographers, make-up, etc.) had different strengths, so we were sure to find one we liked. As someone who struggles with making decisions, having a short list allowed me to find the perfect vendor without getting completely overwhelmed.
• She had great ideas such as the Welcome Party, which she and her team set up to be an authentic Italian experience (even hand making signs for the entry, menus, drink offerings, etc.). She also recommended options for Welcome bags from which we could choose; again keeping us from spending so much time researching on our own. Of course she would use anything we suggested if we had our own specific ideas.
• Cheryl was able to take all of the random ideas for the wedding ceremony that were in our heads and on a shared Pinterest board and create the most incredible experience that FAR surpassed anything I could have ever imagined. She handled all the details and incorporated anything we wanted to bring ourselves.
• Our wedding day was so much fun since we didn’t have to worry about anything. My mom was able to enjoy prosecco while hanging out with me and my bridesmaids as we all got ready. All she had to do was be at her appointed place when the ceremony started. It happened to be an extremely windy day, but Cheryl assured me all would go perfectly and that she had a plan “B” if we needed to move anything. We did decide to move the cocktail hour to a lower level out of the wind and they handled this change effortlessly.
• The reception dinner and following party were the best. She handled all of the various food allergies and sensitivities with ease; somehow finding safe foods that actually tasted incredible. Having a live saxophonist play along with the DJ as we kicked off the dancing after dinner was one of the best suggestions Cheryl had. He stayed longer than expected and really made the party special.
• Bella Sposa also suggested and organized several excursions so all our guests (from ages 24 up to 88) had some fun things to do.
• She handled transportation and any odd requests that came up without blinking an eye. She got to know our guests personally while maintaining her professional role, making them feel comfortable asking questions.
• She was positive and open to any ideas we had while being honest in what she thought would work and wouldn't. We took her advice which resulted in everything being perfect.
Whether you know exactly what you want for your big day or have absolutely no idea, Cheryl and her team can create the most incredible experience. I seriously cannot recommend Bella Sposa enough!

If you are planning to get married in Sorrento or the Amalfi, then look no further.
We were originally planning on having an intimate wedding in Cyprus. We went to the destination wedding fair in London to look at venues.
After attending the Cyprus stand, we knew straight away that wasn't what we wanted.
Feeling very deflated we decided to go home & rethink our plans. On the walk out we passed the Bella Sposa stand and a very friendly face asked "have you considered Italy". We spent some time explaining our vison to Cheryl and she understood exactly what we wanted.
Cheryl turned our whole experience that day around and 1 month later we were planning our wedding in Sorrento.
The paperwork required to have a legal ceremony in Italy is pretty extensive and I would say impossible to navigate without a wedding planner based in Italy.
Cheryl explained every detail and made sure we completed everything correctly and within the timescale required.
On our visits to Italy Cheryl would spend time showing us venues, discussing details and just making us feel at ease.
Our wedding day was everything we had hoped for and more.
From the flowers to the fireworks, our day was perfect. Music was a big part of our day and Cheryl introduced to some amazing musicians. From the Harpist at the ceremony to the Saxo player at the reception, all were exceptional artists. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how the modern songs played on the harp was like a scene from Bridgerton 😀
We had a small wedding but we felt like this made no difference to the time and effort Cheryl & Cat put into it.
Cheryl recommended our Photographer & videographer based on the type of images we wanted. We cannot wait to see the photos & video.
Cheryl organised our welcome drinks and post wedding BBQ. She attended both of these events, as well as being present for the whole wedding day.
By the end of our wedding Cheryl was not just our wedding planner but a friend.
Cheryl takes care of every detail and will make your dream wedding a reality, as she did for us!
So many of our guests have said "it was the best wedding they've ever been to" and I can whole Heartedly say this was because of Cheryl & the Bella Sposa Team.

Wow where do I start? Cheryl is simply the best... We planned our dream Italian wedding after a venue visit with Cheryl in 2019 (for August 2020... Re-arranged twice due to covid and we finally had the most special day of our lives last month, August 2023.)

OUR PLANNING PROCESS:
From the very first phone call we had, I knew Cheryl was going to be the planner for us - she was extremely friendly and most importantly, very realistic about budget and expectations. I'd found a few venues I liked online and we spoke about each of them and what the experience would be like. From this, we were able to narrow down a shortlist for our venue scoping trip.

We decided on the Cloisters as we wanted a legal wedding and loved the architecture and then Villa Silvana for the reception as it is such an incredible family-run villa with spectacular views. The villa has all the Italian charm you'd want but was modern too which suited our style as a couple.

Cheryl dedicated so much time to us during our many visits and we hand on heart could not have chosen a better person to guide us.

We had to change our date due to Covid to 2021 and throughout the entire months of limbo, Cheryl kept us updated on everything in Italy, spoke to suppliers and most of all... kept us excited for the day we'd all spent so much time planning for. She managed to re-coordinate all of our suppliers for the following year. Sadly, Italy was still on a lockdown for date number 2 so we made the decision to push back until 2023 and again Cheryl worked so hard to re-negotiate with our suppliers. Naturally prices increased for every thing but we had expected this and Cheryl remained transparent about this.

We planned a pre-wedding surf and turf BBQ at Bagni Sant'Anna and also a post wedding recovery pizza party at Casa Lucia - both were amazing and we highly recommend doing for guests. Everyone really enjoyed them as all three days had a different vibe.

WEDDING DAY
I stayed at Villa Silvana the night before our wedding as I wanted to use the suite to get ready in with my bridesmaids and mum. We had Joanna Falanga and team as our make up and hair stylists. I don't wear lots of make up so was nervous about being 'over-done' but Joanna is hands down, the best make up artist! She was so patient, listened to what I wanted and made suggestions - all of which were completely right! I am so happy with my make up.

We had our photographer; Detito and our videographer; Alfonso Longobardi arrive whilst we were getting ready and they were really great. They worked well together and put me at ease straight away.

PLAN B
We were extremely unlucky with the weather on the day of the our wedding.. Thunder, rain, the lot! We didn't have a choice and had to go with our plan B option which wasn't ideal BUT Cheryl couldn't have worked harder to make it feel as though it was Plan A.. and I really mean that! There is no way we would have been able to do what she did without her. Instead of being in the centre of the Cloisters, our ceremony was moved to the edge of the cloisters - under shelter with single chairs - this isn't how I'd envisaged walking down the aisle but it was so much more intimate walking past each guest.

The same for our reception - we had to go with Plan B but the table styling Villa Silvana, Cheryl and team worked hard on made our meal so beautiful. The villa has so many areas that we were still able to utilise most of them for different parts of the wedding. We also splurged and had an incredible chef for our antipasti and wedding meal which was exceptional and by far a highlight of our wedding - for us and our guests.

I cannot recommend Cheryl enough for anyone looking to get married in the Amalfi Coast. She is so knowledgable, thorough, extremely experienced and so well connected in Sorrento. She really did exceed our expectations and went way above and beyond. There isn't anything that will get past her and she will make it all happen! Cheryl, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

We have just got home after our perfect August wedding in Sorrento. We booked our wedding with Cheryl early March 2020, a few weeks prior to the COVID outbreak. Wedding planning during this uncertain time was such an emotional rollercoaster and really disheartening periods where it just didn’t seem like things were ever going to improve.
We’ve been lucky to have Cheryl as the driving force that kept the excitement alive, she was so determined, reassuring that our day will happen and when it did that it would be perfect. Cheryl stuck to her words and created the most stunning wedding for us that I have ever seen. Due to COVID we were unable to visit venues / meet suppliers etc so we decided to book off the back of her recommendations, pictures, videos.
She truly takes the time to understand her couples, vision and what’s important to them. Cheryl created our dream day and her passion for what she does shines through to every last detail. With Cheryl, you know everything is in hand which means you can truly enjoy the build up and the day with no stress.

The wedding day exceeded our expectations, quite literally a Pinterest board that came to life – the flowers wow!!, venue, how personable Cheryl and Cat were to all our guests, to all her final touches! Cheryl strives to make your wedding experience perfect to post and pre wedding events too.

Over the course of the two years, many phone calls, personal uncertainties, our (my partner and my) disorganization, a global pandemic no less, Cheryl stuck with us, grew to genuinely know and understand us and our vision for our wedding, and really created most magical, fairytale event we could have imagined. She went above and beyond, accommodated every request and change-of-mind, even if it wasn't the Italian or UK standard for my partner (from the UK) and me (USA).

She helped us create the America-English-Jew(ish)- Italian wedding of our dreams and, though cliché to say, it was truly best best day and week of our lives.

My partner Alex and I got married in Sorrento in June 2022 after seeing the reception venue online and falling in love with it and Cheryl planned our wedding. We couldn’t recommend Cheryl enough as a wedding planner.

Cheryl took the time to understand what we wanted for our day and what was important to us. She helped us to work out the smaller details that we hadn’t even thought about so everything ran smoothly. She was responsive and helpful throughout the whole process (which was well over 2 years in the end!) – from first meeting in Sorrento to look at venues, to selecting from a great selection of recommended suppliers, arranging payments, organising timings for the day, sharing recommendations for restaurants/bars to make the most of our time away. Cheryl was there through every step.

The wedding day itself exceeded all expectations – the decorations, flowers, managing the suppliers, looking after us and the guests, and all the finishing touches. Everything ran so smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about a thing.

Cheryl and Cat also helped with our pre and post-wedding events, so they were present throughout the whole 3 days of celebrations, not just the wedding day itself.
