Luca D’Ambra was an absolute delight to work with for our July 2023 wedding at Castello Aragonese in Ischia. His deep familiarity with Ischia and the Castello really came through in the photos, capturing the light and stunning location perfectly. Luca also covered our welcome party at the Beach Club at Excelsior Belvedere Hotel and our reception at La Lampara restaurant at Miramare e Castello Hotel, seamlessly capturing the vibe and beauty of each event.

Doing everything long distance for a destination wedding always comes with a risk…but there’s no need to worry if Luca is looking after capturing the essential moments of your big day!
From the first contact he was friendly and enthusiastic about our day and answered all our questions (and there were many!). He took time to meet with us when we visited Ischia in the months before the wedding and explain how he would work.
The photos Luca and Domenico took on the day were just stunning! Obviously, some were posed for, but so many are just natural photos, capturing so much happiness and moments we will cherish for a lifetime…and so unobtrusively, we were hardly aware they were there! That’s what makes a great photographer…!
Back home now but with the most beautiful memories, the whole day captured for us by the best photographer we could have possibly found!! 💙

Luca is the best photographer in not just Ischia, not just Italy but the best in the entire world.

Luca thrives when tasked with capturing authentic moments of beauty as they organically occur through his expert photojournalistic approach. Not only is his style unique, he captures those raw, unfiltered moments that really encapsulate a wedding day vs. focusing on more staged, forced moments.

He did an amazing job for my wife and I on our wedding day and we will be happy returning customers for life. Luca went above and beyond in so many ways… he helped my wife a lot prior to our wedding answering her countless questions ( regardless of the time of day or night). When we decided later in the wedding planning process that we wanted a videographer, Luca took it upon himself to research videographers in his network. The two of them collaborated so well on our wedding day that you would have no idea it was their first time meeting. Luca even organized a boat to pick us up right at sunset to capture some amazing “bon voyage” shots.

The day of the wedding Luca and the talented Roberta helped to make two very nervous people at ease and made us smile the whole day. They spoke very good english. They made two normal americans look like models. They were so creative, took us to the most beautiful places and captured pictures we will treasure forever!!!

When we viewed the photos, I kept thinking I didn't even know he was there in those moments. His professionalism and style are difficult to match and his turnaround on stunning photos is amazing.

We were so happy he agreed to be our photographer. He caught so many small intimate moments that make us tear up and our hearts swell. We can't thank him enough for his time and talent!

Luca and Roberta did an amazing job on our wedding pictures! He knew the area very well and had an idea of exactly the pictures we needed and wanted. We cannot be any happier with the final result. The pictures took a bit longer than expected but they were absolutely worth the wait. He is very knowledgeable about the best lighting and helps you pose as well. We were honored to have Luca D’Ambra photograph our wedding in Italy, on the island of Ischia. He's was extremely professional and went above and beyond to make our day special. He arrived at the Mezzatorre Resort for the ceremony and proceeded to spend the entire day with us, which included sunset shots on the beach. I cannot say enough about his work and his ability to capture the little moments that make up the larger story. It's a day and experience we will never forget!
