A true hidden gem that does not lack in service, views, amenities, and amazing food. This resort was amazing from start to finish, the staff was SO FRIENDLY, kind, and helpful, you feel a little like family. The thermal spa was amazing and one of my husband’s favorite parts of the hotel we visited everyday! But for me my favorite part was the private sea access with a perfect space to lounge, eat, relax by the sea or to even jump in or arrive/depart by private boat.

What I was not expecting was the quiet and peace, you hear birds chirping (peacefully not annoying), the waves crashing it’s like a sound machine 24/7. I actually got some of the best sleep here.

The food was incredible, at all the spots to eat we really enjoy every meal we had on the property. You can venture off property via taxi or boat to do a tour, but you can just as easily stay on the property and relax. We loved this property so much and really hope we can come back and visit again!

Mezzatorre Hotel & Spa is a beautiful and relaxing retreat. The thermal pools and mud treatments are truly special—an absolute must during your stay. The views are breathtaking, and the setting feels private and serene. Service was warm and attentive, which made the entire experience seamless. Beautiful, expansive property with stunning views over a private cove, historic and beautifully decorated buildings (custom ceramics and fabrics), quietly luxurious rooms, and 5+ star service. (when I made a request at dinner, our waiter said, Signora, this is Mezzatorre, you can have anything you want, and that was the spirit of our stay). The perfect way to enjoy this beautiful island. (A special thanks to Pasquale for driving us around, giving us enjoyable mini tours of the area, and making us feel so welcome.)

Albergo bellissimo con vista mozzafiato !! |Arredamento ricercato e sofisticato nella scelta dei tessuti e dei dettagli molto curati . |Cucina eccellente , colazione a buffet superlativa , i dolci tutti ottimi !!! Abbiamo cenato due volte al ristorante , ottima cucina e servizio impeccabile . |Personale gentilissimo e professionale . |Piscina riscaldata con acqua di mare , molto carino anche il ristorante adiacente alla piscina . |Panorami incantevoli , struttura immersa nel verde lussureggiante e davvero unica !||Unica pecca la camera ( (standard deluxe ) di discrete dimensioni con armadi piccoli , uno dei due ospitava il frigo bar limitandone la già ridotta capacità del guardaroba . ||Infine alcune parti del percorso esterno per raggiungere la Torre risultava di notte insufficientemente illuminato . ||Nel complesso albergo meraviglioso e unico nel suo genere . |Consigliatissimo !!!

I had an amazing stay at Mezzatorre, truly one of the most scenic places I’ve ever visited. The gardens are absolutely stunning, with lush greenery and vibrant flowers everywhere you look. The sea views are simply breathtaking, no matter where you are on the property, you’re surrounded by nature, trees, and the most beautiful landscapes. It’s peaceful, spectacular, and feels like a true escape.

The food was excellent throughout my stay, and what stood out the most was the exceptional service. Every single member of the staff was incredibly kind and attentive, it’s genuinely the hotel’s greatest strength. I felt so well cared for, and I especially appreciated the thoughtful gesture they made for my birthday. Thank you for making it special!

The spa and gym facilities were also great well maintained and relaxing. I do wish there had been yoga blocks available in the studio (and maybe some elastic straps), as that would really enhance the practice. Perhaps they were available and I just didn’t ask.

The only things I’d love to see improved is a wider selection on the poolside menu just a few more options would be perfect, a wider food selection at breakfast (specifically meat for non pork eaters) ; and I do wish the rooms were bigger.

That said, I absolutely recommend this hotel. It’s a beautiful, serene place with amazing staff and thoughtful touches that make the stay truly memorable.

Our recent stay at the Mezzatorre Hotel on Ischia was perfection! The setting of the hotel is just beautiful, with amazing sea views at every turn. But what really sets the Mezzatorre apart is the warmth, competence and friendliness of the staff. Everyone we encountered went out of their way to offer an elevated experience! The food was excellent also. The hotel is set against a hill so the are steps everywhere, but they do offer to pick you up in a golf cart when needed. The resort is secluded, but they offer an on demand shuttle to the nearest town, a half mile away.

Just finished the most amazing stay at the Mezzatorre!! The staff is next level, they went above and beyond for us at every turn. The property is gorgeous and you don’t have to leave the hotel if you feel like completely relaxing. I recommend booking a room in the “main tower” of the hotel because it’s centrally located to the bar and restaurant and doesn’t require hiking. Our room was in the tower and we had stunning views. Some of the rooms require a hike up the hill into the woods so beware of that if you aren’t in hiking shape. They do offer golf cart rides if you call down for one so that helps. Massimo and Pepe at the bar were incredible!! The lunch restaurant down by the pool has the best pasta I have ever had in my life. Ischia is a very cute island and we enjoyed venturing out a few nights into town for dinner but you could just as easily eat at the hotel every night. We traveled with our 14 month old baby and the entire hotel treated him like royalty and were so welcoming! Nobody made us feel like our baby was a hassle, they had the beautiful baby crib set up when we arrived and tons of baby chairs at the restaurant. The concierge and front desk staff also deserve a special mention for how helpful they were. We will be back to the Mezzatorre!!

The Mezzatorre is as close to paradise as one can get. Location was serene and quiet with stunning view of the sea. Had a very clean sea view room that had a very private patio with two comfortable lounge chairs. Pool/beach restaurant had excellent food and beverage service. Service at the restaurant and concierge was five star plus. Everyone recognized us by name and made us feel welcome and like one of their family. Can’t wait to be back.

We stayed at the Mezzatorre to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary.||The hotel’s setting is unique and spectacularly beautiful. Our room, sea view deluxe, was spacious and had a wonderful view.||Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who made our stay a joy from beginning to end. Fantastic cocktails on the terrace as the sun set each evening, followed by dinner on two evenings at the restaurant. Loved the idea of “meat free Monday”!||We used the courtesy shuttle to Lacco Ameno where you could use the local bus service to explore the island. Taxis were plentiful and not expensive.||This is a special place, we plan to return.

The only reason I give two stars is due to the fact that the location is beautiful and the service in the restaurant is good. Terrible front office service, no smile , no hospitality they might as well work in a hostel. The service is comparable to walking into Abercrombie & fitch. Cleaning was terrible, we checked in to a dirty room (room 503) (hairs everywhere from the previous guests and on the minibar) truly more like a 3.5 star hotel in the Almafi coast… I do agree with a previous review most of their reviews are from their staff…

Absolutely incredible service at this beautiful hotel. The staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Incredible pool with direct ocean access to swim. Beautiful bar. Thermal spa also a highlight. Along with the always friendly welcome from the porters and drivers.

Whilst I struggle to believe the numbers on my birthday cards I can honestly say that the Mezzatorre was the perfect place to celebrate becoming a pensioner! ||It was a wonderful day in our all time favourite hotel. I cannot thank the staff enough for all the ways you made the day special. Salvatore, Massimo and Valerio and your assorted choruses - you all sing beautifully. ||As ever the service was exceptional. At breakfast one morning I asked for provola cheese which I love (and is not easy to get in the UK). By the evening Salvatore was offering me a pasta dish with provola. You guys are amazing.||We stayed a couple of nights in a beautiful room in the Tower (thank you) then we moved to one of the Visconti. I know there are differing views on the Visconti but I love them. Waking to the sound of bird song and the breeze in the trees is lovely. It’s a beautiful park and the very short walk to the restaurant (about 2-3 minutes) is an opportunity to enjoy nature. ||It’s great to see staff progressing - congratulations to Martina, Marco, Victoria and Valerio on your new roles. Mattia I’m glad I’ve finally learned to spell your name correctly. Many many thanks to all the staff who look after us. ||As on previous trips we have booked for next year.

Bitter sweet 4 star stay|I will start with the sweet part of our stay. The property is still as beautiful as ever, grounds are immaculate, food and restaurants are great, Swimming Pool and beach club area are also very well taken care of. |Food and restaurants I would give a 5 star with reservation. Staff is very attentive , smiling and very helpful. Food at both the restaurants was also very good.|Room and grounds also get a five star.|Beach area and the pool area will also be a 5 star|Thalasso and Terme area get a 5 star|Now the bitter part of stay started with delayed baggage , granted it was no fault of the hotel. When I called the hotel from the airport informing the delayed baggage, the response from the other end was shocking . She right away asked me where were we going after this hotel implying that we will not going get the luggage during our stay.|The luggage came late at night and since the property is on an island there there is no easy way to get the luggage. This is not the first time someone had a delayed baggage and won’t be the last either. What is shocking is after years Hotel does not have a system in place to help tourists like me and my wife with their luggage. I was more than willing to pay for someone or a company to go and get my luggage.Contacting the manager was waste of time also.|I spent 6 hours , 4 taxis and 2 ferries to go and get my luggage from the airport |At the time of check out things were not any better. Asked for a late check , after 2 days we are still waiting for a response. The hotel gladly displays part of LHW logo but fails to provide the perks that are supposed to be provided for.|I was shocked when the Transfer sent by the hotel for our arrival asked me to pay the fare.|Paying over 2200 euros per night and not even a complimentary sun screen at the pool/ beach area.|Value for your money the hotel fails miserably. Nickel and diming in not expected in a 5 star property.|GM during a busy time of the year is no where to be seen . There is no personal touch from the upper management.

We stayed at Mezzatorre for the first time on a friend’s recommendation, and our visit to Ischia could not have been more memorable. The hotel itself is stunning, with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, but what truly sets it apart is the warmth and graciousness of the entire team.||The restaurant and bar are excellent, offering both quality and charm, while the whole property is impeccably maintained. Our room was beautifully appointed, complete with a private terrace that made the stay even more special.||Mezzatorre is an absolute gem, and we are already certain we will return.

Stayed 3 nights for the first time. And I must say, one of the nicest, most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed at, bar none. The rooms were incredible; the service impeccable and the entire property is literally breathtaking and stunning. The pool and ocean area are so quiet with no music in the background, mature adults relaxing, no noise but only the birds in the trees and the sound of the ocean. This is not a place for young kids truth be told. It is completely quiet and they have only 48 rooms. So while there and although it was booked, it literally felt as though no one was there. Solitude at its best and natures' blood pressure medication for anyone who needs to escape and get away. I could go on for pages but in short, we shall be definitely coming back. I must give a shout out to a few (although everyone was spectacular) Valerio, Antonio, Marco and Salvatore. The pool and beach staff were also incredible working tirelessly in the hot sun to make sure every patron was comfortable and happy. My favorite hotel ever!

The great: service, the staff. A+++ helpful, friendly, professional. They did a great job.
The good: it’s a beautiful setting. Secluded. A little far away
The not great: the price and look of the rooms. The marketing is good but the rooms definitely do not look like the photos. Superior room terraces are very uneven. It’s a little over promise and under deliver. I just don’t think it’s worth the $1600 a night given all the options on island and in Europe. The big hotel groups marketing departments are good at what they do!

Expect to pay $25 a trip to get to and from the hotel even 5 min drives. Taxis are a racket. I spent $200 a day on transportation

Top notch hotel with amazing staff and excellent on site dining options. You can tell they go above and beyond for guests, memorizing your name and room number. I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels in dozens of countries and this is by far one of the nicest I’ve ever visited. They’ve thought of almost every detail and have delighted my wife on several occasions with their personal touches. I highly recommend this hotel, the rooms in the tower are top notch, and the grounds are truly beautiful. The nearby town is also extremely cute.

Que gran hotel y que lugar maravilloso. Las habitaciones en medio de un bosque, tipo departamento con un gran balcon con vista al mar. El restaurant cercano a la piscina , encantador y el otro restaurant en el edificio principal muy lujoso y con vista al mar espectacular. La persona que lleva a los huespedes al pueblo cercano es muy gentil y el servicio muy comodo y frecuente. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.
