I just returned from a wonderful retreat at Villa la Ventana. Angelo and Gaetano were amazing hosts who were so accommodating to our group. The room was clean, comfortable and relaxing. The property was amazing with priceless views. I felt safe and completely at ease during my stay. Chef Luca was fabulous and the food was simply outstanding. I look forward to returning again!

Our party of 11 just spent 4 wonderful nights here. The accommodations are lovely, comfortable, and spacious. The pool (with fabulous views) is fantastic. The hosts, Angelo and Gaetano, went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect. We ordered the breakfast (add on) every morning - big fans of the omelets. Highly recommend the chef prepared on site dinner. We enjoyed it on our last night - great way to end our trip - dining Al fresco with cool mountain breezes and unmatched views.

The villa is outside of the city center, but we enjoyed the escape from the noise and busyness of town. We were readily able to get vans/cabs.

We had a passport left behind and Angelo hustled to find a driver to take it from Sorrento to our hotel at the airport in Rome. We were all able to leave on time, thanks to his excellent service.

My wife and I chose Villa La Ventana to host our small destination wedding for our family and very close friends. This experience far exceeded our expectations.

From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality by the three brothers managing the property, Gaetano, Angelino, and Danilo.

The property is situated on the side of the mountain with a simply picturesque and perfect view of the Amalfi coast. The property was massive and felt very luxurious.

Every aspect of our stay was met with friendly service, including a wonderful breakfast provided by the brothers with excellent omelettes, cappuccino, and pastries.

The villa provided transportation for our guests on multiple occasions for a very reasonable price and was professional, on-time, and most importantly safe.

The brothers recommended an amazing wedding planner for us, Serena, who really made everything come together perfectly. We are so grateful for this experience and the hard work that was put into making our wedding a magical day.

We can’t wait to return someday soon and would recommend this villa to anyone who is trying to enjoy the Amalfi coast.

Just returned from a 5 day stay at the villa. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family and welcomed with open arms. The villa has all modern amenities for your comfort including great Wi-Fi and air conditioning and even a washer to use if needed. The views are unreal and the dinners we had at the villa were all over the top. Brand new hot tub was a bonus. We especially liked the pizza party and we were surprised at the attention to detail to help celebrate a few birthdays and engagement we celebrated that week. I could not recommend Angelo and his team more. There is a market within a 10 minute walk for your food and alcohol needs that work with the villa and help with delivery if needed. You will enjoy being away from the crowded downtown sorrento area but have easy access if you care to leave the villa.

This was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Sorrento in July 2021. The views from the property, especially the pool, were incredible. We had dinner at the villa during our stay and all of the food was fresh and delicious. We even got to sit and get to know them over a glass of wine that they made. The family member hosts were all very welcoming and helpful with questions we had about the area.

I would recommend arranging transportation, because the bus to Sorrento seemed to have unreliable timing. The hosts at the villa can also help with that, though - they offer rides to both Sorrento and Positano (for $)

Overall, this place was a highlight of our trip that we will talk about two years later! Hope to be back someday!

We were a group of 20, all from the USA. My partner and I were the coordinators of the trip and arranged all of the bookings, accommodations, transportation, side trips and meal plans with the input and approval of the group.

Booking the villa for all 10 rooms for the week we wanted was very easy to do over email. We had a prior contact in Sorrento with the uncle of the owners of the villa so that helped. We booked the villa about 12 months in advance. The villa also had all ensuite rooms, which again made it all that much easier to choose this villa over others.

Angelo, Guitano, and Danilio, were our gracious hosts and insured that we enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The villa is beautifully perched on the hillside and overlooks the bay of Amalfi below and the town of Praiano and to the far left you can see the bay of Sorrento in front of the town, such gorgeous views. The villa is clean, the beds were fine, AC worked better than anticipated, and breakfast was what we expected. We used the pool and the jacuzzi and laid out in the sun and just loved it all. The grounds were well maintained and they had lovely gardens to take in. Adjacent to the pool and jacuzzi area was an outdoor pavilion with a ping pong table and a big table to hold dinners at. Two of the seven nights we were there, we arranged to have a sit down meal. The dinners were well received and the brothers did a great job along with Mamma, we had a great time!

Breakfast consisted of yogurt, rolls, sweet breads, tarts and cereals, coffee, milk and a couple of juices. We were offered omelets to anyone that wanted one for a small extra charge, we also asked that there be some fruit on the buffet, which they quickly obliged us with the next morning consisting of bananas, oranges, peaches, and other seasonal fruit. Coffee service was handled on an individual basis by Danilio each day and he did a great job keeping up with our list of coffee and tea requests.

The only cons to the entire villa experience were the extras we didn't know about up front. A change of bath towels, pool towels, an extra roll of toilet paper all cost extra. I would suggest that they reconsider their extra fees and roll it into the cost of the room rate and get rid of the extra costs altogether or state over and above a daily allowance.

In the end, we felt a little taken advantage of with all of the little extras they charged or wanted to charge us for but overall the villa was perfect for what we needed it for. The brothers were very accommodating and worked extra hard to make our time at the villa enjoyable. We very much so appreciated everything they did for us.

The villa is in a town located about 20-25 minutes outside of Sorrento. You cannot walk into town, it's not possible with the twisting and winding roads, so you need to arrange transportation ahead of time to get into town or wherever you are going, so have a plan so taxis are called and waiting for you for when you need them. Taxis did cost about 80-90 euros each way for a van of 6-8 people, so factor the cost of transportation into your budget and overall costs. Lastly to note, the villa does have a steep driveway of about 50-60 feet that you have to walk up to get to the secure gate above. Even the taxis would only drop you off at the bottom and say it was not possible for them to go up the driveway as the taxi would get damaged which makes it difficult for people with disabilities or anyone that might have trouble with steep inclines.

The location and views is why you are choosing this villa, not that it's centrally located. You will have a hard time finding a villa in Sorrento that accommodates a large group and 10 bedrooms that are all ensuite, at least we did not find one. It was a great value per person for the week compared to the other bids we found.

Above all this is the service (and delicious breakfast) provided by Angelo and his brothers. They truly earned a place in our hearts.
We will definitely come back to Villa La Ventana on our next Amalfi coast vacation.

La struttura è meravigliosa, curata nei minimi dettagli e con uno stile estremamente elegante. I tre fratelli, e lo staff in generale, sono altamente professionali,accoglienti, simpatici e attenti ad ogni esigenza dei propri ospiti. Le camere sono pulitissime e dotate di ogni comfort. La vista dalla struttura è mozzafiato sia di giorno che di sera. La posizione della struttura è strategica: non direttamente nel caos del centro ma comunque a 5 minuti da questo. La consiglio vivamente per un soggiorno all’insegna del relax!

Il personale (conduzione famigliare) è stato gentilissimo, sempre a disposizione per ogni esigenza!!
La cucina gestita dalla mamma è veramente ottima e offre prodotti del posto a km 0!

I stayed at the villa for two nights on my road trip through Southern Italy in September. The rooms were impeccably clean and the views from the poolside were absolutely stunning. I was most amazed by the hospitality of the family running the place. I felt most welcome from the minute I arrived. A home-cooked dinner by Mamma Rosa using fresh ingredients from the villa's garden was the culinary highlight at the end of a day after exploring the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended.

We visited the Villa for our honeymoon. We were sold by the pictures and quickly booked it. A few months before leaving on vacation, we looked again and realized that this location wasn’t in the heart of town. But after reading the rave reviews, we thought we’d give it a try.

SO happy we went with our gut and stayed here. We were in Italy/Greece for over two weeks and anytime someone asks about the highlights of the trip, my husband and I always include our stay at the Villa.

The brothers and Momma Rosa were fantastic hosts. The Villa felt like a home away from home. The breakfasts were a treat in the morning and coming back for home cooked dinners was one of our favorite parts of the day. However, realize that it will require some transportation to get to other places (this was a selling point for us cause it was quieter). Just rent a Vespa, go out for daily excursions, then come back to rest for many delicious options for home cooked dinners. If you can fit in a day or afternoon, also stay on property to truly take it all in, you won’t regret it!

Les doy 3 estrellas porque es muy caro en comparación con lo que ofrece en la habitación. Nos tuvimos que quedar por un error de reserva en otro hotel. Pagamos €135 La noche. Y en nuestro hotel era de €75. Los ameneties casi no hay. Y no hay pantuflas ni cepillo de dientes cosa común en los hoteles que manejan estos importes. Parece un poco descuidado en el mantenimiento y anticuado. El desayuno está bien pero no es muy pretensioso.
