Mariangela definitely knows how to plan a gorgeous wedding! I feel like her and I had been communicating via email for almost a year picking out everything and discussing financials. She made everything SO much easier for our wedding in Sicily. Without her - this just wouldn’t have been possible to the degree that I wanted things. She knows some great vendors that are very talented and well known in the area. I found her by searching an IG tag of “Taormina wedding planners” and saw there was a girl located in Nashville (where I live) who used her. I messaged this girl asking about her experience and she absolutely raved about Mariangela’s talents and how much she highly recommended her. And I found out first handedly that she was exactly right! My wedding was the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever been to and a big chunk of that goes to Mariangela.

She attended my welcome dinner and made sure everything went well. She was SO highly involved during the wedding especially after it rained. And at our farewell brunch she brought left over flowers from our wedding to display for our guests. It all was so sweet and truly made an impact on our days celebrating.

Planning a week-long event from the US would have been utterly impossible (and would have become my full-time job), had it not been for the wonderful Mariangela Spinella. She worked tirelessly to make sure every detail was just right and turned even the smallest moments into something truly special. Taormina Weddings did an amazing job of helping to plan my daughter's wedding abroad. I am from the states and had my daughter's wedding in Taormina , Sicily. Mariangela is very detailed oriented and thorough and kept us up to date on upcoming deliverables as action was required on our end. She is very knowledgeable of the area as well as the local vendors and was very helpful in directing us to certain vendors based on the vibe and ambience we wanted to create with the event. She worked very hard to keep us in our desired budget and was very helpful in suggesting more affordable alternatives to achieve the same results desired. She was always able to accommodate our schedules for our on line meetings despite the time change and was very responsive to our email inquiries. She successfully and seamlessly coordinated four successive days of events for us including a welcome party, rehearsal dinner, the wedding day itself and a post wedding day pool party. Each event she maintained her professionalism and kept everything organized. What a pleasure to actually be able to enjoy our guests and our special events and not have to worry about any administrative issues or problems that may arise . And, most importantly, she was present at each event and literally the entire day of the wedding, starting from when the bride was getting her hair and makeup done, making sure everything went as planned, allowing my family and I to truly enjoy the wedding of our daughter. It was very comforting to know she and her team were on top of everything and were on site ALL day at our complete disposal. She never made us feel rushed or bothersome and went over and above her responsibilities as our planner including meeting us at the hospital for my granddaughter to assist with the ER process and any language barriers. From the very beginning, Mariangela was completely on top of everything. I chose her the moment we first met because she took so much time to understand us, our vision, and what we hoped to experience in Taormina. I had done only a little research beforehand, but she knew every venue I brought up—along with the hotels, their rates, and even gave us better, more tailored suggestions than we could’ve imagined.

One of her standout ideas was hosting a rehearsal dinner cooking class, and it was a total hit with our guests. We made custom aprons with everyone’s names on them, which helped break the ice as friends and family met for the first time. It was thoughtful touches like this that made our wedding weekend truly unforgettable.

Mariangela’s attention to detail didn’t stop there—she stayed until the very end of the wedding to make sure every guest got home safely. I completely trusted her judgment on vendors and her aesthetic input for the overall look and feel of the day. She even translated communication from Italian vendors into English, making everything seamless and stress-free for us.

All this time she showed her professionalism but also a human side which makes her so special. Choosing Mariangela and Taormina Weddings was hands down the BEST decision my husband and I could have ever made planning our destination wedding. In working with us, Mariangela took on no small feat. We had a larger destination wedding of about 120 guests, coming in from all areas of the USA and Italy. I didn’t know where to start this arduous feat of planning a wedding from afar (site unseen), but Mariangela was very organized and diligent, leaving no stone unturned and thinking of everything. Over the next few months she helped us immensely and made the process seamless, and dare I say, enjoyable!

After our initial zoom meeting, Mariangela had so many helpful suggestions as to next steps and how to accomplish our vision for our wedding. It felt like a weight had been lifted, and we knew immediately we had made the right choice in picking her as our wedding planner. Another wonderful factor in our decision was that my husband did not speak Italian proficiently, but thankfully, Mariangela’s perfect English made the process so easy for him to be involved as well.

About 10 months before the wedding, we took a trip to Taormina for partly business, partly pleasure. Although she had events she was actively hosting, Mariangela still found time to meet with us every day to ensure we had all the support we needed (ie accompanying us or actually driving us to the various venues, the florist, hair and makeup trials, setting up an engagement photoshoot etc). It was invaluable to have someone with boots on the ground and personal relationships with local vendors to continue organizing things when we returned to our busy life in the States. Those following few months, Mariangela helped us with countless details, ie giving us ideas and handling the ordering of the favors, setting up the rehearsal dinner pizza night and even a last minute idea for a lovely pre-wedding winery trip, organizing a bus for 40+ people. She also took it upon herself to help our guests organize their own airport transfer, hotel accommodations, and excursions while visiting the area as well. When we returned to Taormina a few days before the wedding, Mariangela did not skip a beat. She had recommended a beautiful hotel to accommodate my closest family and friends, and I still have fond memories of her coming over to help us stuff the welcome bags for guests the night prior to everyone arriving! The day of went so smoothly thanks to her taking charge, and it truly was beyond anything I could have imagined. Two years later our guests are still raving about the “best wedding they’ve ever been to”, due in no small part to Mariangela, who was somehow able to elevate an already magical place in Taormina to something even more special.

Although it sounds cliche, Mariangela is not just a talented and dedicated wedding planner, but she feels to us now like a member of the our family. We still keep in touch and can’t wait to take our son back to see the place where we had the wedding of our dreams. Mariangela made that happen, and for that, we are forever grateful.

We couldn’t be more thrilled with the incredible service provided by Taormina Weddings! From the very beginning, Mariangela listened to our vision and brought it to life beyond our expectations. Every detail was planned, and anything we didn’t think of, she did, which truly made our wedding day unique and unforgettable. Most of our guests have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to.

The entire process was seamless— Mariangela handled everything with all suppliers, she broke everything down and always kept us up to date. We only needed to have a few catch ups throughout the planning over video call as we are based in the UK and she in Sicily. We also came out for a few days where we finalised things and she was at our disposal at all times. She took me for my make up trial and also my hair trial. She really did go above and beyond. Mariangela had a lovely calming presence, ensuring we felt stress-free throughout the planning. If something wasn’t right she would make sure we were happy before confirming.

On the day of the wedding, everything flowed perfectly, thanks to Mariangela and her team’s hard work and attention to detail. She ensured every external company was doing exactly what they should be and when. We could truly relax and enjoy our special day, knowing we were in the best hands. Mariangela was in charge of the day, from the ceremony to the town walk to the dinner, speeches, first dance and cutting the cake! She stayed as late at midnight to make sure everything was okay and nothing had been missed.

We knew we wanted to get married in Sicily but needed some help with the logistics. Mariangela was just who we needed! She was very communicative and kept our budget in mind. We visited a year before the wedding and she took us to many venues and helped us coordinate tastings and meetings. She was able to communicate to the vendors just what we were looking for and helped us make decisions that made sense for our vision. She has a lot of experience and recommended timelines, musicians, churches, etc. I would have had no idea where to start when it comes to what music is allowed in the church, what time the ceremony should be (we were getting married in September so she advised us to have the ceremony at 4 so that it wasn’t too hot) and was open to helping me when I eventually changed my mind on certain aspects. Despite issues out of her control, such as issues with the rental company and having to choose new place settings two days before she had everything under control and I didn’t have any stress on our day. Our luggage got held up and she was able to get a car on short notice to take my fiancée to the airport in Catania to pick up our luggage. When the welcome sign I ordered from Etsy wasn’t going to arrive in time, Mariangela was able to get the EXACT sign I wanted made and surprised me on our wedding day with it (despite only a weeks notice). Every vendor we spoke with told us how lucky we were to be in such great hands. I cannot thank Mariangela enough for giving us our dream wedding!
