We rented the dependance for 4 days and the location for our wedding in August 25.

Other that some of the older reviews, we had a very positive experience. Communication with the owners was professional with a fast response time and no surprises.

We especially want to highlight the staff who are taking care of the Venue - they were super nice and made our stay special. ❤️

Dependance is an Old Building with original furniture - this was not a surprise to us since its what the pictures are giving away. It is beautiful and an authentic tuscan experience. Just mentioning it here because it received some critical Feedback in the past.

Thanks for making this so Special for us!

Bellissima location dove ho partecipato ad un matrimonio. Personale molto cordiale e disponibile, giardini enormi e ben curati e con un servizio catering di qualità. Peccato per il tempo che non ci ha concesso un po' di venticello per poter apprezzare maggiormente il luogo ma, ovviamente, non è dipeso dalla struttura. A fine giugno ha fatto un caldo esagerato.

The property did not meet our expectations, particularly given the price. The condition was outdated, with one of the air conditioning units non-functional for the entire week and several light switches not working. The BBQ grill was in poor condition, with a hole in the bottom, which was very disappointing considering the cost. Additionally, parking was inconvenient as we could not park the car close to the property, which was especially challenging since one of our party members was on crutches.

Although I had read some previous reviews with skepticism, I can now confirm from my own experience that they were accurate. To add to our frustration, we were charged for a broken pool chair that was already damaged when we arrived, causing unnecessary stress over the deposit. While the owners did waive the charge for the air conditioning after we expressed our dissatisfaction during checkout, it is clear that they lack professionalism in hospitality management.

The pool was the best place of the home. We really enjoyed it.

Siamo arrivati alla villa dove abbiamo pagato il biglietto di €6 a persona, La villa è ottimamente tenuta per essere guardata da una sola persona, è possibile solo una visita ai giardini che comunque vale il tempo necessario a visitarli in quanto sono molto belli

THIS IS A SCAM!

A year ago myself and a group of friends booked the villa for a weeks stay. We sent the money to the owner Gianni, and he confirmed the villa was booked. Six months later Gianni contacted us asking for the rest of the money, however we noticed that although the email cam en from his email account and was signed off by him the account details were different to the initial bank details we had sent the deposit to. We contacted Gianni by mobile and he told us not to send the money to the new account but to the original one we had sent the money to. However he did not seem concerned about his email account being compromised, in hindsight this was the first red flag 🚩

We arrived at the villa and Gianni immediately demanded €1000 from us. He never said anything about this over email, and so we were reluctant to comply however we felt pretty intimidated so ended up giving him €500. He assured us this money would be returned at the end of the week.

The final day comes and I contacted Gianni for the money. I asked for it in cash but he suggested he bank transfer me instead. I was reluctant to leave without the money but ultimately trusted that he was a decent businessman who wouldn’t just rob his guests. Anyway, one day passed, and then two and there was still no sign of the money 💵. I contacted Gianni to ask about the delay and he then replied not only refusing to return the €500 but in fact demanding a further €2000 consisting of ‘fines’ for using the pool in the evening, €1000 for cleaning up (we cleaned up after ourselves, cleared the dishwashers, stripped the beds, swept the floor!) and even charged us for bottles of wine he said he had to buy the neighbours due to us being noisy. When I read the message my jaw hit the floor, how can this guy get away with this?

My only conclusion is that this guy has thought that hitting us with specious fines will scare us into submission and he will be able to keep our money. An expensive lesson to learn but there are bad people out there 😢

Also the water is yellow and made us all sick 🤮

Gianni is a ne’er do well! YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE BACK YOUR DEPOSIT. The house is undeniably beautiful, with a stunning pool, cinematic pool house, garden full of flowers and a rustic, untouched charm that is very rare to find. I loved it so much! Yes there are features that those used to functional, minimal and modern stays would hate (I.e discoloured water, dark staircases etc) but for me the problem is absolutely NOT the house which to me is perfection from a bygone era…the problem is GIANNI. Gianni’s attempt to charge us thousands of Euros for cheap glassware breakages and additional cleaning when we thoroughly cleaned before departure, is frankly shocking. Relying on the beauty of this villa is not enough- poor customer service and low-life attempts at scamming your returning guests is shameful. The staff who work on site are smiley and friendly but the same cannot be said of Gianni. We may well have returned here every year, spending thousands of euros- rest assured after this experience, we will not.

Storica, maestosa, grande villa lucchese circondata da giardini freschi e ordinati. Bellissima la scuderia. Io non vidi la villa all'interno, non era possibile, ma anche solo varcare il cancello per passeggiare all'esterno costituì un'esperienza molto piacevole.

Abbiamo celebrato il nostro matrimonio ieri in Villa Oliva, e con molto rammarico non la consiglierei a nessuno! La proprietaria è molto vincolante e maleducata, per non parlare della cifra che chiede per offrire un giardino secco e incolto con qualche albero secolare secco e spoglio.. ero stata rassicurata, nelle varie visite che ho fatto, che nel giorno del matrimonio il giardino sarebbe stato impeccabile, invece era peggio che mai! Non la consiglio, ho visto di molto meglio !

Ho girato tutto il mondo ma belle come Villa Olivi ce ne sono poche. Due anno fa andetti ai castelli della Loira, ora mi chiedo? Ma che si va a fare in Francia quando a Capannori ci stanno delle bellezza come questa!
Mio nonno faceva lo stalliere, quando ho visto la scuderia mi sono emozionato, luoghi di bellezza rara, infatti sul volantino c'è scritto che il Re di Francia, mandò un suo inviato a vedere le bellezze della scuderia.
Consiglio la visita perché il giardino è molto bello, mi è garbato molto, ed è garbato anche a mia moglie, che nonostante fosse in molto sovrappeso se l'è voluto girare tutto.
Il campo da Tennis è stupendo e a vedere la piscina viene voglia di bagnarsi.
Molto gentile anche il personale che vi ha accolto a braccia aperte, e per soli 6 Euri ci ha spiegato tutto il da spiegare.
Consiglio molto la Visita a villa Olive perché merita molto.

Una delle Ville più belle d'Italia ...Giardino all'italiana ricco di statue, fontane, alberi secolari! Assolutamente da visitare. E si può affittare sia per organizzare anche matrimoni da favola, sia una parte della casa per casa di vacanza! Assolutamente unica!

Bella location praticamente ormai adibita ai soli eventi/matrimoni. Eravamo soli all interno del parco. Il guardiano è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Si vede che non è turistica anche perché villa Reale a due passi offusca un po' tutte le ville vicine.il giardino è ben tenuto e la visita piacevole. Da riscoprire.
