What an absolutely magical place! |This was our second stay, and this time we brought the whole family along. Everything was just perfect again. If you’re looking for peace and relaxation, Relais Il Termine Elba is the place to be, but there’s plenty of adventure waiting too.||We were welcomed so warmly that it truly felt like coming home. Silvia, Mara, and the entire team put so much heart into everything they do, making sure every guest has exactly the stay they’re hoping for.||The property is stunning, with incredible sea views, even from your own little private spot with a small pool. The spa is wonderful, and every evening we enjoyed a fantastic five-course dinner in the garden, with new dishes each night (the fresh fish was amazing!). Breakfast was just as good, full of homemade and local specialties.||There’s also a great choice of activities, from snorkeling and sunset fishing to massages. Everything was perfectly organized, and from the grandparents to the baby, we all had the best time.||A huge thank you to the whole team for giving us another unforgettable stay. We can’t wait to come back.

We spent 5 days on Elba Island at Il Termine. Our daughter got married at the resort and it was the best vacation spot that we had ever been to. Peaceful , very clean, very special place with great food. Lots to do if you want a vacation without the crowds of people and need to escape reality. Swimming pool was beautiful , open hot tub for each room , very private overlooking the mountain edge out over the Mediterranean and the port of Cavos. Silvia and the staff team , took care of every request we had, they went above and beyond to make sure we were all happy. Rides to private beaches, shopping, elections. Matteo the owner took us out on the boat snorkeling, and for a tour around the island and inlets, it was just beautiful. He also has fishing skills unmatched for the area and does charters by request. We will definitely be returning to Il Termine on Elba Island.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The attention to detail at meals was incredible. The food and drinks were marvelous. The views and serenity were stellar. But it was the relationships we made while there that truly set this place apart. Sylvia and Maya were so kind and accommodating. They did so much to make our stay very special like setting two tables for us—one outside and another inside if it got too cool. The last morning they set up the breakfast table overlooking the water. Elba is beautiful and just a special place. The drive was a little harrowing for my husband who doesn’t like heights but boy was it worth it! I’d give this 10 stars if I could and hope to be able to go back one day.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. There are simply no words to describe our experience at El Termine. It is way more beautiful and glorious than the pictures show. Attention to details, sophistication, most beautiful nature, comfort, and many, many unexpected experiences all around, all day long. On top of everything else, you make real friends there. Silvia, Mateo, their family and all the staff are just fantastic individuals and the best company. We still miss them, each one of them! Our family of four stayed for a week and we already dream of coming back.

Een unieke ervaring te midden in de natuur van het wonderschone eiland Elba! Il Termine is een aanrader voor een ieder die houdt van goed eten, prachtige natuur en rust. Het betreft een goed onderhouden Italiaans chateau midden in de berg in een natuurreservaat. Wij hebben hier 4 nachten verbleven en waren na een druk huwelijk op zoek naar rust, waarvoor we hier op de perfecte plek waren. ||De passie voor de locatie en service was elk moment te voelen en alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Van tevoren werden we uitstekend geïnformeerd door onze host Silvia over het eiland en wat er te doen was. We werden super vriendelijk ontvangen door Silvia en Lisa, die samen elke dag een heerlijk (en zeer uitgebreid) ontbijt en een 4-5 gangen diner verzorgde. Alle groenten en kruiden kwamen vers van het land en elke dag stond er verse vis op het menu (gevangen door eigenaar Matteo). Er waren heerlijke wijnen tot onze beschikking en op verzoek konden er ook cocktails worden gemaakt. ||De kamers waren netjes en goed voorzien van alle benodigheden. Op het terrein heb je je eigen 'cabin in the woods' met eigen jaccuzi waar je echt tot rust kan komen. Verder is er ook nog een zwembad, een buiten spa, een clubhouse en meerdere terrassen waar je gebruik van kan maken. Als je toch meer wilt dan alleen rust is er genoeg te doen! Je kan hiken in de buurt, er zijn meerdere dorpjes te bezoeken, er worden vistrips georganiseerd en in de spa kan je een massage krijgen. ||Ze zijn tevens erg hond vriendelijk en denken graag met je mee met elk verzoek! ||Heel erg bedankt aan Silvia, Lisa en de rest van het personeel voor deze excellente en persoonlijke ervaring! Wij komen graag weer langs om de rest van Elba te ontdekken.

Dieser geschichtsträchtige Ort im Naturschutzgebiet des Toskanischen Archipels, inmitten der ausgedienten Eisenerzminen auf der Insel Elba vereint die liebevoll gestaltenten Details dieses wahrhaftgig wunderschönen Ortes voller Lebensenergie. Hier kann man Kraft schöpfen, sich zur Ruhe bringen, sich fallen lassen, sich verwöhnen lassen, fischen, wandern, biken sowie alte wunderschöne Dörfer erkunden. Die Gastfreunddschaft von Matteo, Silvia und Carla gepaart mit den überragenden Kochkünsten Lisas lassen das Dolce far Niente voll auskosten. Man geniesst Fischvariationen, frisch gefangen von Matteo und die Küche geht auf alle Wünsche ein. Ob Fisch, Fleisch, vegane Speisen oder für Allergiker; man darf einfach nur geniessen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist jeden Tag ein Erlebnis und Silvia verwöhnt mit den besten Omeletten und Pancakes ever. Wir können diesen wundervollen Ort nur empfehlen. Wir verlassen ihn mit Sehnsucht wieder hierher zurück zu kehren. DANKE, GRAZIE dem ganzen Team, dass sich wie Familie anfühlt.

Absolutely wonderful visit. Pictures can’t reflect the beauty of the property, the dedication of the staff to excellence and the outstanding food and beverages. Our family loved being here. My husband, an avid fisherman loved the fishing and spending time with Capt Matteo - truly a gem. As for the road to Il Termine being steep as mentioned in other reviews- my daughter and I rode e-bikes up and down to Cavo so not that crazy and without the drive up you would not have the magnificent views and serene setting. Thank you so much, Silvia and staff. We will be back.

The prior reviews here are what convinced me to book Il Termine and they did not disappoint. If you are looking for a special, and unique experience, Il Termine is it. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were part of the Il Termine family, Silvia, Maya, Clara, and Assa took good care of us, dropping us off and picking us up for a hike, sharing the best place to go to the beach and of course the boat ride with Matteo and Silvia was our favorite. But what sets Il Termine apart is their food, all local products and made with care. Breakfast overlooking the sea and a four course dinner meal each evening - we didn’t have one complaint. Except that our stay wasn’t long enough! Silvia made the logistics simple, helping us with the train and ferry schedule, and booking us taxis when we needed one. Elba island is a slice of heaven, and one you should not miss. We will be back one day and look forward to reuniting with our Il Termine family.

È stata una delle esperienze più belle della mia vita! Questo posto è curato nei minimi dettagli e ha tantissime qualità (una di queste è Maya) , piatti eccezionali, livelli alti ! sono rimasta veramente sorpresa e soddisfatta. Magico posto ! Natura, atmosfera, il personale ammirevole all’Interno di questa struttura, tutto molto piacevole. E magico. Penso sia uno dei posti più belli del mondo. Cominciando dall’accoglienza di Silvia che è fantastica, alle colazioni con prodotti fatti in casa, alla chef che prepara dai prodotti di panificazione fino a ricette a base di pesce pescato dal loro team, piatti esclusivi, eleganti e cucinati con moltissima cura !..al fantastico proseguimento con Maya che ti fa sentire un ospite speciale grazie alla sua elegante e dolce professionalità…per finire con il desiderio di ritornarci in un posto incantevole come il Relais , dove entrare significa lasciare una parte di tè.

Una location magica, immersa in un parco curato nei minimi dettagli. |Silvia, Maya e Clara ci hanno accolti come in famiglia, facendoci scoprire angoli meno conosciuti dell’isola da togliere il fiato. |La cuoca, Lisa, ci ha condotti in una vera e propria esperienza culinaria: materie prime locali proposte in piatti indimenticabili, sia a colazione che a cena. Il tutto servito ogni giorno in angoli diversi del parco, tra fiori freschi appena raccolti e cucina a vista. |Dettaglio non trascurabile: abbiamo soggiornato con il nostro cagnolino, accolto con una grande disponibilità e dolcezza. |Grazie di tutto ragazze, ci rivediamo presto! |Daria, Carlo e Pippo

Wir hatten 4 Nächte Anfang September gebucht, sind aber letztlich nur eine geblieben. Es hat uns überhaupt nicht gefallen. Die Unterkunft liegt absolut abgeschieden im Wald, der Anfahrtsweg ist unbefestigt, mit einigen Spitzkehren immer bergauf und schwer zu befahren, eigentlich nur für 4x4 Fahrzeuge zu empfehlen. Dabei hatten wir überwiegend trockene Wetterverhältnisse, nach beispielsweise Starkregen ist der Zustand sicher noch viel problematischer. Wir hatten eine Suite gebucht, diese bestand im Wesentlichen aus zwei Zimmern mit jeweils 2 Betten. Safe hat nicht funktioniert. Klimaanlage kann man tagsüber benutzen, nachts de facto nicht, weil der Luftaustritt des (alten) Gebläses direkt vor dem Bett ist. Somit war es nachts sehr warm im Zimmer; schlafen war eher schwierig deswegen. Das gesamte Areal liegt tief im Wald, es wirkte somit stets dunkel, schattig und sehr einsam. Außer unserem war noch 1 weiteres Zimmer belegt. Alle Zimmer sind in einem renovierten Bauernhaus untergebracht, der beschriebene Ausblick vom Zimmer aufs Meer war bei uns zumindest nicht vorhanden. Die beschriebenen privaten Pools sind winzig und befinden noch weiter ab im Wald (also nicht etwa direkt am Zimmer). Einchecken konnten wir erst 17:30; ab 13 Uhr ist kein Personal im Hotel (zwischen 12 und 13 Uhr wäre check in aber mgl. gewesen).||Insgesamt stehen Ausstattung und Ambiente in keinerlei Verhältnis zum aufgerufenen Preis. Die als typisch toskanisch beschriebene Zimmerausstattung wirkte in erster Linie alt und z.T. abgewohnt (z.B. klemmende und quietschende Schranktür, abgetretene Teppiche).||Wir haben unsere Enttäuschung der verantwortlichen Hotelmanagerin mitgeteilt (Silvia) und auf zumindest eine gewisse Kulanz bei der Stornierung gehofft - vergeblich (laut Buchungsbedingungen aber prinzipiell korrekt).||Wirklich gut dagegen war der freundliche Empfang durch die Mitarbeiterin und auch der Service z.B. beim Abendessen.||Insgesamt aber leider eine sehr negative Erfahrung aus unserer Sicht.

This is the kind of hotel and food experience Anthony Bourdain would have included in an episode of No Reservations. From the stunning grounds and beautifully rustic accommodations, to the mind-blowing food, to the friendly, attentive service, this was likely the most unique and memorable hotel experience I've ever had. ||||||If you want to wake up to a breakfast buffet curated to your tastes each morning, or a private five-course tasting menu under the stars each night, then this is the place for you. We loved Elba island, but having Il Termine as a home base really made our trip extra special. And it's an absolute steal for the price.||||Il Termine is unexpected and delightful in every way. My friends and I have already recommended this place to our travel-savvy friends, and we plan to come back the next time we are in Italy. We only stayed three nights and didn't even scratch the surface of what experiences were offered -- we certainly want to come back for a boating and fishing excursion!||||Silvia, Maya, and the rest of the staff felt like family by the end of our stay, and we can't wait to see them again.

Was für ein bezaubernder Ort!
Wir kamen mit sehr hohen Erwartungen und diese wurden definitiv übertroffen. Hier stimmt einfach alles! Wenn man Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, ist man im Experience Relais Il Termine Elba genau richtig. Wir waren zur absoluten Urlaubszeit im August dort, hatten aber das Gefühl, ganz allein auf der Insel zu sein. Wir sind so herzlich empfangen worden, man fühlt sich wie ein Teil der Familie! Wir haben uns von Anfang an willkommen gefühlt. Das Personal ist erstaunlich und legt viel Herz in diesen Ort und in die Sicherstellung, dass jeder Gast seinen Aufenthalt nach seinen Bedürfnissen genießt. Das Grundstück ist riesig und man hat einen wunderbaren Blick aufs Meer z.B. auch vom separaten, eigenen Ruhebereich mit einem eigenen kleinen Pool. Es gibt einen tollen SPA-Bereich und jeden Abend gibt es ein wunderbares 5-Gänge Menü im Garten mit wechselnden Gerichten (selbstgefangener Fisch!). Wir haben spontan auch noch eine Bootstour zum Schnorcheln gebucht, die wir auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen würden! Alles in allem hatten wir eine wunderbare Zeit und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und dann auch die Angel-Tour abends machen!

This place is truly special. From the moment you arrive, you are spoilt by all the staff! Silvia is an exceptional host. We arranged for a private transfer from the Marina di Salivoli to the island by their boat with Matteo at the wheel! We were served some Elban wine and sat at the front to enjoy the crossing. Fabulous! The villa itself is set in an olive grove...a very large olive grove! The grounds were beautifully maintained with a lovely heated swimming pool. We occupied the junior suite which was fantastic with 2 bedrooms and a superb bathroom. The towels were so thick and smelled beautiful! We used the 1 bedroom as our dressing room. Both bedrooms had air-conditioning which was much-needed as it was so hot! Each couple are also offered a room in the woods which we really loved. A fabulous view of the sea and surrounded by trees, peace and quiet. A place to relax on the day bed, take a dip in the heated jacuzzi/plunge pool and enjoy a picnic prepared by the kitchen. Maya also deserves a huge mention as she is so lovely. She waited on us at breakfast and for the evening meal. Breakfast was always freshly prepared with fruits, pancakes, hams, cheeses, little cakes, freshly-made focaccia etc. Dinner was exceptional with a 5-course tasting menu each evening. Portion sizes got slightly large as each course was served! All the meals were fish-based; served as tartare, carpaccio and cooked. Each course was accompanied by a wine that complimented the dish and was fabulous quality. All wines were from the island of Elba. On one of our days, we decided to take the path down to the beach. A 1.2km walk through the woods. It was just fabulous. We arrived on Molo beach and used the facilities at the Molo beach bar, hiring sunbeds and an umbrella. The staff here were really friendly. Highly recommended! The walk back up the hill was a little slower than walking down but...we were so pleased that we did it and jumped straight in the pool to cool off! We were sad to leave this little piece of paradise and can't wait to return.

Scriviamo ora questa recensione a poche ore di distanza dal luogo incantato dove abbiamo trascorso quattro meravigliosi giorni, io e la mia sposa. Traghettati giovedì dal porto di Salivoli con la coppia di mare Matteo e Silvia e condotti nel paradiso del Termine abbiamo iniziato la nostra splendida esperienza fusi in una natura rigogliosa, nei profumi di erbe aromatiche e nell'odore di un mare dipinto. Quando sei al Termine diventi preda della simpatia di Maya, del suo sorriso disarmante, dei suoi cocktail alle erbette, della sua padronanza del linguaggio del vino e dei piatti sapientemente cucinati dalla chef. Quando sei in mare con Super Ciuccia Palline, la barca di Matteo allora capisci cosa lo convince tutte le mattine ad uscire: una passione infinita per quel blu, azzurro, turchese, insieme con Silvia sei a casa, sei con loro coperto di premure e mai vorresti andare via.||Grazie Silvia, Matteo, Maya e grazie a tutto lo staff che lavora con l'unico obiettivo di far star bene chi arriva a "Il Termine" e capisce il perché di quel nome, oltre non c'è ne.....||Torneremo presto, per ora vi abbracciamo forte.||Luigi e Anna

This is a hidden gem, which we were lucky to find for our honeymoon trip and will remember for our lives.

We spent almost a week at Il Termine. It feels like a boutique hotel in the nature. We were surrounded by beautiful nature (location is superb, don't be put off by an adventurous last mile of the access road), among kind and caring people (the staff is amazing and puts a lot of heart into this place and into making sure each guest enjoys their stay according to their needs), in a place integrated with nature and history.

Selected highlights: zero noise, delicious breakfast in the tree shadow with birds signing, swims in the pool, sunsets watched from the hill, superb multi-course dinners based on local products (quite literally - some from the garden in the property) and wines, friendly staff team every day, personalized suggestions for the island discovery and accommodations just for us. Last but not least, a private house in the woods with a mini pool was what attracted us to Il Termine in the first place, and it did not disappoint :-)

We hope to be back one day. Thank you for having us!

We were debating about doing a review for Il Termine on TripAdvisor, because we found it so rare and special, we almost wanted to keep it to ourselves. But Sylvia, Maya, Matteo and their staff are SO exceptional, and the experience they create is SO special, it really would be selfish not to share it.||||Il Termine is a high-touch, boutique relais experience. With just five lovely and comfortable rooms, it is tiny and intimate. But what makes it so special and unusual is its physical location, the incredibly warm and generous attention and service, and the Michelin-quality meals prepared by Liza and Federico—and served by lovely Maya—in a jewel-like farmhouse setting. It is definitely "off the beaten path," a few km up a winding dirt road in the middle of a national park (thank you for the rides, Isa!) So if you’re visiting Elba to shop, wander about town, or go out to restaurants, this may not be your place.||||If, however, you appreciate a Garden-of-Eden-like setting on a rambling property with olive groves, lemon trees, mountain-high views to the sea, private jacuzzis in the woods, white-tablecloth dining al fresco, a lovely pool, and the option of day-boating or fishing with Captain Matteo, you’d be hard pressed to find a more delightful spot on Elba.||||Part of what makes the experience so delightful are Sylvia, her charming and knowledgeable daughter Maya, and Matteo, the visionary behind the property, which he’s crafted by hand—literally—over many years. They are gracious and lovely Elbans, with a deep knowledge of the island, and an abiding respect for its natural beauty and specialness. Hire them to take you to Portoferraio or Porto Azzurro by boat (Matteo captains a comfortable Rampage 38 Express—plenty of room for up to 8 people) and to swim in some of Elba’s crystal clear coves. Not inexpensive...but as an experience, truly EXCEPTIONAL.||||We also took a cooking class with Liza, filleting freshly-caught occhione (a local fish), and preparing citrus-cooked crudo. It was incredibly fun and delicious.||||If you decide to visit and stay at Il Termine (and you should) you will also have an experience you may want to guard jealously as your own. Grazie mille, Sylvia, Maya, Ricky, Matteo, Liza, Federico, and Isa. We absolutely adored staying with you.

Words cannot express how much my partner and I both enjoyed our stay at Il Termine. We came in with high expectations and Il Termine blew right through them. The attention to detail was surely noted, from the in-room appointments like special shampoos, the elaborate and beautifully curated meals & drinks to the truly welcoming service culture we felt from everyone.

There were many highlights, such as the phenomenal boat trip around the island (wine o’clock was a plus!), the secluded and gorgeous room in the woods and finally the intimate dinners with a warmth in the setting that had a lot of thought put into it.

Thank you again for the amazing hospitality. You and your team truly made our honeymoon even more amazing with Elba being the highlight of our Italy trip! We hope to return in the future.

Il " TERMINE " è solo l'inizio di un' esperienza unica che comincia quando superate il cancello di ingresso.
E' allora che entrate a fare parte di un quadro in cui i pittori, Silvia e Matteo, hanno espresso una loro idea, un insieme magico di elementi che colpiscono e soddisfano tutti i sensi. Un dipinto la cui tela è rappresentata dall'antico territorio minerario di Rio Albano, che vi abbaglia da subito con i suoi colori e i suoi profumi.
In questo quadro Silvia, con la sua gentilezza e passione, e Matteo con la sua efficienza , energia, e competenza, vi accolgono e vi proiettano in un'altra dimensione, dove il tempo non ha più importanza, dove il bombardamento dei media si rifrange senza riuscire a penetrare, dove potete essere soli o in compagnia, con i vostri pensieri o anche senza, guardando le stelle attraverso uno squarcio nella volta del bosco che vi avvolge, immersi e cullati dalle calde acque della vostra " piscina nel bosco" .
E'giocoforza essere avvolti da un alone romantico quando, con una copertina di lana, sorseggiate con la vostra compagna le bollicine servite con eleganza al tavolo che a sorpresa comparirà nel bosco per la vostra "cena romantica" .
Qui vi potete innamorare per una seconda volta.
Qui potete fare la vostra seconda luna di miele.
Vista, olfatto e gusto vengono pienamente soddisfatti dal pesce, padrone della tavola grazie all'abilità di Matteo nel trovare in alto mare "l'isola che non c'è ", dove occhione, pesci spatola, dentici fanno a gara per finire nella sua padella.
Ma lascio a voi giudicare il seguito di questa esperienza bussando al cancello al termine della lunga strada rossa.

Ein Ort zum Verlieben, zum Träumen. Mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht kann man im Whirlpool entspannen oder im Pool ein paar Längen ziehen. Das Nachtessen ist sehr lecker: Der Fisch frisch von Matteo gefangen und leidenschaftlich von Lisa zubereitet. Generell sind die Angestellten (und auch die Besitzer) sehr freundlich und die Atmosphäre sehr familiär. Das Agriculturo selbst ist ein neugebautes Rustico mit viel Ambiente und Charakter und auch die Zimmer sind geschmakvoll eingerichtet. Wie schon erwähnt ist die Lage einmalig: Ländlich, abgelegen in den Hügeln von Elba mit einer fantastischen Aussicht über die Bucht von Cavo. Einfach nur empfehlenswert! Wir kommen wieder!
