Quel magnifique séjour à cet endroit. Village Médiéval de Pereta dans Maremma. Elizabeth et Jonny sont des hôtes d’une rare générosité. La Locanda est un vrai trésor avec vue spectaculaire sur les environs et un jardin de détente incroyable. La Trattoria Gaetano est aussi un endroit où goûter au Tortellis la spécialité locale.

Wonderful stay. The rooms are beautiful, steeped in old world charm. Johnny and Elizabeth are really kind, attentive hosts who made me feel really welcome and gave great suggestions about the local area and where to visit, which I structured my short trip around. Plus a lovely breakfast every morning with gorgeous views. Highly recommended.

What a place!
Pereta, Locanda Sospesa, and Elizabeth plus Johnny really took our breath away. Pereta exudes old world Italian charm, filled with smiling locals and delicious trattorias.
Locanda Sospesa is stunning, a vibe of classy and familial warmth all in one. Elizabeth and Johnny are true hosts, making you feel at home and in the company of friends the entire stay. Even under the rain, this place and it's people are not to be missed.

Perhaps the best short stay I’ve had in 32 years of traveling to Italy. Elizabeth and Johnny are the hosts that one imagines in their heads when planning an itinerary. We are not into fluff or put-on hospitality. We seek connection above all other considerations; we want to engage with locals on an intellectual and, dare I say, philosophical level when we travel. This is precisely the house for that. The conversation, service, and delightful breakfast were all of the highest order. This gorgeous villa is a respite for the weary and experienced traveler who yearns for an Italy that often seems to have moved on. If you are more likely to write a guidebook than to read one, this is likely your kind of place. If you are looking for The White Lotus, you should look elsewhere. The Maremma rocks! Locanda Sospesa is one of the reasons for this.

Sono stati 3 giorni bellissimi. Non lontano dal mare, immersi nel verde e nell'eleganza tutta british di Jhonny ed Elisabeth. Alla Locanda Sospesa sembra che il tempo si sia fermato. Perfetto per staccare dalla città e ricaricarsi. Tanta gentilezza, ospitalità e un'ottima colazione. Torneremo sicuramente.

A magical place…Locanda Sospesa is the perfect blend of beautiful palazzo and warm family home, and the area of the Maremma is a wonderful mix of Tuscan culture and the sea. A very special place. Wonderful hosts who know all the best sights, restaurants and events in the Maremma. A beautiful house in a peaceful small hilltop village yet less than half an hour from the coast . In late spring when we were there the countryside around is full of wild flowers and songbirds. Elizabeth and Johnny made sure our stay was both restful and refreshing.

Spectacular!!! Johnny and Elizabeth were simply delightful. They made reservations for us (sometimes without even asking when they thought we might need them). When I didn’t have a phone charger, Johnny loaned me his each night. Views were incredible. And simply so cool to stay in a house that was built over 300 years before my country was founded!

Locanda Sospesa is a truly unique residence. The decor, the comfort and the garden are exquisite. My family and I had the most wonderful 5 night stay where any need that we had was met by Johnny. He is truly the most wonderful host and his knowledge of the local area and recommendations have been fantastic. It was great to be in a small town that is only a quick drive away from the sea. Our days were spent on the beach, followed by aperitivo with Johnny in the garden followed by a delicious dinner and then the best night's sleep - Bliss!
