Breathtaking location, but deeply unprofessional management.

We had our wedding here on October 11th, 2025, and while the Villa Antica Fattoria di Paterno is absolutely stunning — spacious, elegant, and full of atmosphere — our experience was unfortunately ruined by the villa’s manager, Ciara, whose behavior was shockingly unprofessional.

We had a clear prior agreement in writing with her that both we and our two wedding planners remember exactly the same way. Yet, one hour before our ceremony, she approached my fiancé demanding extra payment we had never agreed on. Then, thirty minutes before I was meant to walk down the aisle, she insisted on entering my room, shouting and threatening to cancel the event and move our guests from the garden unless we paid immediately. I ended up paying only to save our wedding.

Later, when there were issues with the Wi-Fi, she was nowhere to be found, didn’t answer her phone, and when the staff finally located her, she was dismissive and rude.

The next day, the owner personally apologized, helped us with our things, and gifted us wine — a kind gesture we truly appreciated. The villa itself deserves five stars, but the management under Ciara turned what should have been our happiest day into a stressful and heartbreaking experience.

Il 26 giugno del 2025, mi sono sposato in questo magnifico posto. Fin dal primo giorno che l'abbiamo visto, con mio marito, ce ne siamo innamorati. Credo che in quella zona location più magnifiche e versatile come questa non esistono. La gentilezza della proprietaria, la signora Anna Picchi, è unica e ti fa sentire subito a casa tua. Siamo stati accompagnati in tutte le nostre mille decisioni nella location dalla Signora Silvina, custode della tenuta da ben 20 anni, la porteremo nel nostro cuore per sempre.
Consiglio questa location, per qualsiasi tipo di matrimonio, ma sappiate che lì dentro tutto diventa magico e affidarsi a persone professionali è la cosa che più vi farà stare tranquilli. Ringrazio infinitamente la Tenuta che ha regalato anche a tutti i nostri invitati un ricordo che non dimenticheranno mai.

A magnificent and truly beautiful location.

We had our wedding here at the start of September and absolutely every detail was thought of in this venue. No matter which part of the venue you were in, you could see the beauty, attention to detail and the care put into it.

From the wonderful owners who checked in on us, to the incredibly helpful staff who were so attentive, polite and kind. They truly made our wedding day memorable.

We will always treasure the memory of staying here, particularly in the wonderful tower.

Thank you so much for helping us make our dream wedding a reality!

Well what an amazing place. It was my first Italian wedding with over 40 of us from the UK. The event was unbelievable. The venue itself was like the sort of place the film stars might use. It really was like a dream. The wedding ceremony was beautiful with an amazing backdrop. The pergola was covered in Jasmin so the aroma was intoxicating. The rooms in the tower were top rate and having breakfast in the covered roof terrace was incredible with beguiling views in every direction across the Tuscan countryside. It could not have been better. The entire place was immaculate. I often judge a place by the quality of the toilets, I know this is a very British thing, but they get ten out of ten. This memory is imprinted in my mind and permanently in my heart. It was like a dream. Well done to the event organisers.
