Si vede la mano di un grande studio di architettura nel recente rifacimento della struttura

Dipingre il live painting al matrimonio di S & A a Vignamaggio è stato un vero incanto. La villa, immersa tra colline e vigneti, e la splendida piscina che rifletteva il tramonto hanno trasformato ogni pennellata in un’esperienza magica. Catturare l’emozione degli sposi in un contesto così meraviglioso è stato davvero indimenticabile. Grazie a tutto lo staff per la cortesia e disponibilità! ❤️

Although this property is undoubtedly stunning, it is becoming less and less ideal for an event space and the staff is hardly responsive when you need them to be. I had to chase down people for an answer to anything. They recently installed their own sound system that is not nearly loud enough for events. My guests kept telling us to turn it up and the unfortunate part was that we can’t. I heard the town is upset about this event space, so they’ve had to control the sound pollution. Also we were told fireworks have to go off by 10:00 pm, so your planner should understand you need to start your dinner earlier than usual. Their internal catering is done with Roland’s and we have been asking for a call back from them because they did not provide the alcohol services we requested and paid a lot per person for. If you’re just staying with your family, this is a great space, but for a wedding or event, it is becoming more and more limited. Also, there are grates on the ground of the disco tech and they completely destroyed my wedding shoes and many of my guests shoes. It’s also just generally dangerous to have grates in a dance floor.

Wow wow wow! I just left the Borgo after my wedding weekend. If you’re on the fence about this place, book it. The staff was amazing, and the pictures they have online do not do it justice. Amazing place, would recommend a million times over.

The most amazing venue for weddings or events. We initially saw the venue when it was still a building site and in the rain, yet immediately fell in love. The attention to detail is as high as any hotel in the world. Eric and the team are also a huge part of the whole experience. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

I’m looking at my photos of Il Borgo and I am a bit stuck on where to start my story about this place of dreams on a hill in Chianti.

Do I start with the way the sun falls through the glass roof in the conservatorium and how that sets the tone for light and bespoke lighting throughout every room? I could say something about the impeccable attention to even the smallest detail to create beautiful but comfortable and memorable spaces and of course there is the architecture and ingenious use of space and repurposed building materials… Should I focus on the carefully chosen colour palette that also carries its own story of mothers and daughters and paint swatches or is it better to talk about the art and artefacts that have been painstakingly collected from places far and near? If I tell you about the magnificence inside, will I forget to mention the magical gardens and the way the outdoor spaces are just the beginning of a forever view? How I would love to do an endless flower arrangement down the centre of the stone masterpiece of a table!

Il Borgo is a place of vision, perseverance, patience and magic. Walls steeped in the past and now creating a space for people to make memories for the future. I looked at it and thought, “This place is a dream come true”. Here I can lose myself around every corner and never tire of the way the sunlight falls on the floor. This is what my sister meant when she said, “Sometimes things are so exquisite I want to cry.”

The restoration of il Borgo is both sensitive to the history of Vignamaggio and simultaneously competes with a global standard of the best hospitality interiors, architecture and design.
