Bellissimo appartamento inserito in un casale antico e accogliente sito in una località tranquilla e con bella vista paesaggistica. Il podere è un ottimo punto di partenza per visitare con facilità Firenze e l'alta Toscana. L'ospitalità e la cordialità dei proprietari completano questa esperienza da consigliare.

We had a lovely time at Podere Montisi. The location is great: close to Firenze but also clearly in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The apartment is quite spacious (we were with two adults and a baby, but there are multiple bedrooms) and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Barbara and Saverio are lovely people. It was inspiring to learn about what they produce on the farm and we got to try some things as well. We had some issues with WiFi and electricity and they responded to our messages very promptly.

Urokliwe miejsce nieopodal Florencji – serdecznie polecam!
To miejsce to prawdziwa perełka! Przepiękny dom urządzony w typowym włoskim stylu – ciepły, klimatyczny i niezwykle zadbany. Gospodarze to cudowni ludzie – bardzo serdeczni, pomocni i gościnni.

W całym obiekcie panuje nieskazitelna czystość, a kuchnia jest w pełni wyposażona – można korzystać nie tylko ze sprzętów, ale również z produktów spożywczych dostępnych na miejscu, co było dla nas miłym zaskoczeniem.

Okolica zachwyca – cisza, spokój i piękne widoki to idealne warunki do wypoczynku. W promieniu zaledwie 5 minut spacerem znajdują się trzy świetne restauracje z pysznym jedzeniem.

Zdecydowanie polecam wszystkim, którzy szukają spokojnego i klimatycznego miejsca niedaleko Florencji!

Barbara was an excellent host, provided great accommodations, helpful and gracious. Barbara provided a wonderful tour of the farm as we picked items to use in recipes for our cooking class. She shared local specialty items (honey, olive oil, jam) and a very special surprise for our wedding anniversary, really going above and beyond.! They engage in a wide variety of efforts and networks, trials, experiments to promote more agricultural and social sustainability. We rented a vehicle and were able to easily travel to Viareggio, Pisa, San Gimigano, Volterra, Mugello and of course Florence. We parked the car in Calenzano and took train to Florence.

Our stay was a wonderful escape to a beautiful farm, with incredible hospitality by Barbara. Barbara was responsive to our questions ahead of time and communicative during our visit. She made the experience top notch by opening her beautiful property, shuttling us to the train, hosting an incredible cooking class, while getting to know her and her passion for bioagriculture. It was great to have a few restaurants in walking distance for dinner - Osteria il Palagetto was incredible. Also convenient to have Barbara provide breakfast each morning. In hindsight, a rental car would have been convenient but paying for shuttle service to the train station worked out. We enjoyed Florence, but upon the recommendation for Prato almost enjoyed that city more! The Tuscan cooking class was better than we imagined and truly a special experience. Wifi was touch and go, and a few mosquitos were around outside - long sleeves and pants or natural repellant would work well. We hope to visit again!

I had a wonderful time at Podere Montisi estate with the Frosini family! From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the view of the surrounding mountains is fantastic. The organic products made on the farm, such as olive oil, jam, and herbal salt, are of very high quality and delicious - perfect for bringing a taste of the Tuscany back home as a souvenir! I particularly enjoyed learning more about their sustainable farming practices. Moreover, everyone I encountered was incredibly kind and helpful. Additionally, the proximity of Prato and Florence makes it convenient for exploring nearby attractions, and the location is ideal for hiking enthusiasts. Overall, I highly recommend Podere Montisi for anyone seeking a memorable and enriching time in Tuscany!

another lovely stay at Podere Montisi. A beautiful way to get to know Tuscany, in a cozy apartment; relaxing and peaceful. Also less than an hour from Florence, in case you want some city vacation too. The hosts are so friendly and approachable, and don’t forget to ask about their homemade jams and olive oils… and the rosemary salt… delicious 😍

Where to start...Barbara and family are incredibly generous and gracious hosts. Our family feels so lucky to have shared their home for the few days we did. Driving down their majestic cypress lined drive seemed like we were entering another world. Once at the home the star of the property, Baloo the giant bear of a Bernese Mountain dog, immediately captured our hearts and attention. Baloo, the goodest of boys, kept us entertained and provided an extra level of comfort you will not find elsewhere. The home is large, yet very comfortable, keeping five us happily together. The views must been seen in person to fully appreciate as do the breakfasts. Please do yourself a favor and indulge in the homemade breads provided. The restaurant at the bottom of the hill (easily walkable) was something out of a movie...more Bernese Mountain dogs, attentive staff, incredible ambiance and of course outstanding food. We left with the whole staff, including the little girl (Anna?) bidding us Ciao! as we left completely satisfied with our pasta, wine and tiramisu lunch. In order to get to this property you will need a car as it is 10 minutes or so to the Calenzano train station. The train to and from Firenze (Florence) was an easy and cheap ride, an excellent way to see the city while enjoying the tranquility of Tuscany. We will be back!

Nel bel mezzo delle colline toscane un casolare d'epoca , camera da letto matrimoniale al primo piano con bagno annesso , un' altra a pian terreno con due letti singoli con bagno adiacente.
La pulizia é totale.
La cucina con ampia sala contigua é attrezzatissima per cucinare pranzi ,colazioni e cene.
La titolare ,la signora che gestisce l'agriturismo é molto disponibile e si respira un'aria familiare.
Consiglio per qualsiasi tipo di permanenza nei dintorni di Firenze.
La parola d'ordine al podere é tranquillità e relax , nessun rumore di auto e similari.

The house with the apartments is located in a very scenic location, in the middle of nature. The hosts were very friendly, and we enjoyed the company of their cats and the dog, although they leave a lot of hair on the outside chairs. The apartment is very clean and tastefully furnished (at least for our taste). As there are only few windows, there is not so much light inside.
The breakfast was Italian style, so only sweet things available.
We would definitely come back for a short stay.

Podere Montisi is a truly idyllic, peaceful, rustic, unique, colorful, healthy place to discover and admire!

Barbara spoilt us with neatly filled baskets of local specialities and her own homemade delicacies which grow in her breathtaking organic garden. Every day started with such a feast for our eyes, mouths, hearts and souls!

We got addicted to the very sweet and most delicate mulberries, which somehow felt from above into our mouths every time we passed the magic tree in the pergola ;-)

The attractive surrounding has also a lot to offer: Beautiful nature, plantations, hiking and biking trails, art, great historical places, old typical villages, towns worth to see, as well as all kinds of typical culinary surprises from the region…

For ever we will keep a lot of wonderful memories of our unforgettable days in and around the Podere Montisi!

Grazie di cuore Barbara e famiglia per tutto. Vi auguriamo il meglio, buona fortuna e successo con vostri progetti impegnativi.
