Ellen was amazing! She kept in touch and quickly responded to questions. Planning can be tough but Ellen made the process very smooth. She was very sweet and really listened and captured what we were envisioning. She was also very accommodating and able to meet with us given our use of public transportation.
We happened to have a nice day in the lovely Dolomites and Ellen found quiet spots, away from crowds, to take fantastic photos :)

I don't Google would let me write enough words to describe how amazing, stress-free and most importantly fun our experience with Ellen was.

We told her what we were looking for in our initial meeting, she provided us options that matched exactly what we were hoping for.

Admittedly I was worried because my wife and I never take photos of ourselves and I didn't want the experience to be awkward or our photos come out funny because we didn't know what do do, but Ellen made the whole shoot feel natural and never once did I get the awkward feeling I was hoping to avoid.

Also, Ellen was an amazing human and within the first 15 minutes its like we had known her for years.

I had an amazing experience with Ellen for my family photo shoot. My kids are 3 and 5; I wanted spectacular family photos on our very special trip to the Dolomites. I couldn’t find any family-specific photographers online so I asked our hotel for recommendations and they suggested Ellen. Ellen is from Colfosco so she is a local who knows all the best spots!

Ellen is professional. We met with her over Zoom and talked about what we wanted. She totally got our vision. She followed up with emails and sent us helpful posts from her blog.

The day before she sent us a list of locations, ideal times for the shoot, and google images. All the locations were beautiful, but one was perfect.

On the day of the shoot, Ellen was professional and easy to work with. Most importantly, her photos are amazing. Gorgeous artistic shots. She took traditional family style photos, but also fun photos. Her photos capture our family’s energy and love.

We are so happy with the results! Ellen sent us a huge gallery quicker than expected. Now the hardest part is picking which photos we’ll frame because we love so many of them.

Ellen was a miracle for me! We had planned a trip to Europe from America and plans changed on short noticed for the reason we were going there which freed up the opportunity for me to ask my girlfriend to marry me in the dolomites. I only had about a 5 month window to plan everything and make it work with out ruining the surprise. With some google searching I found Ellen! She really caught my eye because she seemed like a real person and someone that cared about what she was doing. After our first time meeting I knew this was all true. She helped with every single aspect that I ever brought up to her and helped me with every concern I had! She was absolutely fantastic and without her help I wouldn't have been able to pull off the perfect preposal that we planned half way around the world! When the day came for the preposal, everything went perfect and as planned. The location she helped me pick was absolutely perfect which was a really big deal for me! My fience was incredibly surprised and it was what fary tails are madr of! From the moment we met Ellen on Zoom we could tell we loved her clever, funny personality…the “awesome sauce” sign offs and the “drop it like it’s hot” forms always made us smile. We genuinely looked forward to our meetings and had a blast filling out the questionaries together. Each connection point allowed her to dig into us as a couple/family, our wishes, and gave her the tools to craft the most magical experience we could have ever dreamed of. Oh, and one more point to make…her adaptability. Ellen had the pleasure of shooting us as a threesome…bride, groom, and 1 year old baby girl. Having a baby can make any elopement day “up in the air.” She seamlessly worked around our daughter’s nap schedule as well as her melt down moments. Ellen also saved the day with an awesome Plan B location option when we forgot the baby carrier for our 2-hour hike. Then again, she saved the day when the groom lost the car keys…she kept the bride and baby calm, drove them back to the hotel, and returned to help the groom find the key - yippee.

Ellen’s experience is extremely multifaceted. Yes, she over delivers on her photography trade and that’s why you originally hire her. But the added bag of tricks of local recommendations, vendor connections, secret locations, native heritage storytelling, and her brilliantly funny personality make the whole planning process and elopement day so much more special. We knew we hired a amazing local photographer, but in the end, we got an amazing local Ladin friend. Thank you Ellen for making our elopement exceed all of our expectations. Das Wetter an unserem Hochzeitstag war leider kein Traumwetter, daher hatte Sie uns einen Tag vorher angeboten, die Fotos nach der Trauung an einem anderen Tag nachzuholen, das finde ich sehr Aufmerksam. Wir fanden es zwar dann am selben Tag einfach schöner, aber trotzdem ist es gut zu wissen, dass die Möglichkeit bestand. Ellen ist nach der Trauung mit uns auf die Piste gekommen und dort sind traumhafte Fotos entstanden, Hut ab dafür, denn das ist nicht leicht. Wir schauen uns die Fotos gerne an und erinnern uns auch gerne an diesen Tag zurück. Von uns bekommt Ellen für ihre Humorvolle und Professionelle Art auf jeden Fall eine klare Weiterempfehlung.

I cannot recommend Ellen enough, for any couple looking to elope in the Dolomites.

From the very beginning, we could tell that Ellen prioritised our needs. She took the time to get to know us, what we were looking for, and gave us so many good tips and suggestions. As a local to the area, Ellen is very knowledgeable about potential elopement spots, as she's personally scouted hundreds of these herself.

Ellen was incredibly communicative leading up to the elopement day, and also extremely flexible- my partner and I were so assured by Ellen that we literally did not have to worry about a thing. Even on the day, our plans shifted a bit because of the forecast, but it actually worked out so well because Ellen was able to suggest a different area that wasn't affected as much by the cloudy/foggy weather.

Ellen is so much more than a photographer, she goes above and beyond and you can see how passionate she is about making the day for her booked couples as special as possible. She made us feel extremely comfortable even though we had never posed for photos before. Her positive energy made her such a joy to be with!

Before we even headed out for dinner later that day of the elopement, we already received a gallery of preview photos from Ellen. Lightning fast!! And my goodness the photos were absolutely breathtaking (see for yourself!)

I look back on this day with such fondness, not only because it was a truly beautiful event with my partner, but because Ellen was there and made it so magical. I literally can't imagine having done this without her. What are you waiting for, book her now!!

5 star experience. I planned a surprise proposal in the Dolomites and Ellen was incredibly helpful from the get-go. Given that I'm not from there, Ellen really tried to understand what I wanted, took the time to set up a plan and even helped play a part in the surprise by pretending to ask me and my partner to take a picture of Ellen and her boyfriend. Outside of the planning, the photographs came out amazing. They are very dramatic in style and there's a ton of variety - some fun, some more serious, etc. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Ellen.

Look no further if you are searching for a wedding/engagement photographer in Dolomites. Ellen is literally the best, and that is no exaggeration.

I began my search for a photographer 4 months before my surprise proposal, and I contacted many different photographers in the Dolomite region, none of them felt as personal or as genuine as Ellen.

From the very first contact; the whole process was seamless and super flexible and suited to what I was looking for.

Ellen’s whole brand was about finding out who we are as individuals and as a couple, and making sure it suited our needs instead of some of the stock standard offerings that competitors provided.

Her website gave so much detail and so many little tips about the whole process, everything was transparent. We contacted multiple times to get it all organised, we had multiple zoom calls, back and forth messaging to get everything planned to a tee.

Once this was all done, Ellen made it super easy for me as she provided a detailed timeline of events, as well as a checklist which gave me peace of mind.

What really made the whole experience amazing was the location she provided, which suited us perfectly, it was private, secluded and overall a beautiful location for a surprise proposal.

On the days leading up to the proposal and the day of, we contacted directly via messages, and she was super flexible with the time and day incase of rain. She even was directing me to the location live through messaging!

When the actual photography happened, she was super friendly, and made it very comfortable for me and my fiancée, and just made the whole experience so much better.

Finally, the photos turned out amazing, we even requested for certain photos to have different theme and she DELIVERED!

Honestly, if this testimonial isn’t enough to make you choose ELLEN, I don’t know what is! If it wasn’t for Ellen, I don’t think the beautiful day would of turned out as great.

My partner and I did an elopement wedding in the Dolomites last month, and we could not recommend Ellen enough!! We had the most amazing time with her, and she took the most stunning photos while making us feel totally comfortable (and not like we were doing a photo shoot).
