There’s not enough that I can even say about this place and the staff. Marco, Stephania and marina and more. They were amazing and truly some of the best people. We have taken so many memories from this trip thanks to them and their wonderful help. It is a beautiful spot for a wedding!! Everything was top notch. Seriously wonderful.

We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Borgo Pianello – and it truly exceeded every one of our expectations. We were a group of 22 adults and 4 children, and every single one of us had an unforgettable time.

We started with a wonderful wine tasting hosted by Marco, who shared his wines with so much passion and paired them with delicious food. The following day, we took part in a cooking class where we learned how to make fresh tagliatelle and filled pasta – it was so much fun for everyone.

On the evening of our anniversary, we had a magical pizza night under string lights, enjoying the breathtaking views of the mountains. Marco made sure we were always well taken care of – there was plenty of amazing food and wine, and he paid attention to every little detail with such care.

The next morning, we all joined a group yoga session together, which was the perfect, peaceful way to end our stay.
The quality of the food and wine was outstanding. The rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and renovated in a way that kept the authentic charm of the place while adding modern comfort. We spent hours by the pool every day, soaking in the incredible mountain views that we simply couldn’t get enough of.

Marco made everything we dreamed of possible – we are beyond happy with every moment we spent there. It was more perfect than we ever imagined. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would! We’re already looking forward to coming back and are truly grateful to have found Borgo Pianello.

Siamo rimasti solo un paio di notti in appartamento 1. Eravamo due adulti e una bambina in carrozzina. L’appartamento è spazioso e sicuramente adatto anche a 4 persone. Tutto il necessario per cucinare semplici piatti é a disposizione. L’ambiente è pulito. I letti comodi. Bella la veranda sotto cui abbiamo cenato volentieri. Da non perdere la colazione, escludo dal costo della camera ma consigliamo di provarla. Servizio attento e disponibile. La piscina è un plus da non trascurare con bella vista sulla vallata. Consigliatissimo. Se ci sarà occasione torneremo.

Trovo disponibilità su devirsi siti tra cui airbnb contatto la struttura dove mi risponde dopo 3 gg. Chiedo la possibilitàdi passare un week end di 2 nt in esclusiva a luglio dove leggo che è possibile. Mi rispondono dicendomi che il week end richiesto è pieno bene allora chiedo quando sia possibile poter avere a disposizione l'intera struttura richiesta fatta a febbraio!||Risposta: disponibilità da metà novembre.||Bene fate prima a dire come ho letto in recensioni precedenti che il Resort è a VOSTRO uso esclusivo e la rendete disponibile quando volete voi!||Mi scrivono anche su wathsapp in modo arrogante dove mi dicono che hanno eventi (matrimoni ecc) Verrò a trovarvi un giorno di questi e voglio proprio vedere se è sempre occupata!||Aggiungo dicendo sui i siti vari e mi ripeto uno su tutti Airbnb c'è disponibilità per tutto il mese di giugno e luglio||Fate ridere!

What an amazing place! We stayed here for a week with friends and family and had our wedding on site. Marco, Stefania and Agata made us feel so welcome and organised the wedding perfectly. The cooking class with Stefania was one of the many highlights of the week and the pool was perfect for warm days. Great people and an incredible place to stay!

Borgo Pianello: appartementen en studio's, voor privé of zoals in ons geval: een groepskookworkshop. Hartelijke eigenaren, de keuken wordt gedaan door Stefania en Martina, Marco weet veel van de wijn uit de omgeving. Ondanks het herfstige weer hadden we hier een heerlijke week. |We kregen drie 'echte' workshops met drie gangen-lunch en daarnaast een aantal excursies: eentje naar de biologisch-dynamische boerderij eindje verderop. Daar plukten we onze eigen groenten; een tweede naar een casïficio van Parmezaanse kaas en een derde naar een kleine biologische balsamicomakerij in Vignola. De vierde, naar een wijnproeverij met lunch, hebben wij overgeslagen om naar Bologna te gaan. |Verder alle tijd om rond te kijken, trips te maken, te wandelen in de omgeving of gewoon dolce far niente, al dan niet aan het zwembad. |In de voorjaars- en zomermaanden heb je waarschijnlijk wat meer ruimte, omdat het dan minder snel donker wordt. Het complex ligt in de heuvels en niet iedereen vindt het prettig om in het donker op onbekende bergweggetjes te rijden. En in die periode zullen er ook meer winkels en restaurant(terrassen) open zijn.

I had a 4-days stay + wedding at Borgo Pianello. My impression about the place and owners is very good! I recommend to everyone who wants to be surrounded by beautiful views and nature. Contact with the owner was simple and quick. We could arrange everything on a regular basis. The rooms were clean and tidy. They could fit all my guests 27 people + two children. The access is very winding road, because Lizzano is located in the mountains, own car recommended.
Wonderful place, nice people, I will definitely go back there. The views are amazing. It was a very good decision to have a wedding party at Borgo Pianello.

We were here for a wedding and were treated to an amazing, Italian experience! Marco, Stefania and the family were such great hosts! We did a cooking class and wine tasting and they were very knowledgeable and really helped us enjoy learning about pasta and the local wines.

The food they served for breakfast, lunch and dinners were so tasty and it was everything we wanted in Italian cuisine.

The rooms were spacious and had all the amenities we needed and had a very countryside feel to them. We loved it!

100% would recommend and would definitely come back for a getaway weekend when I’m back in Italy.

Ho trascorso con la mia famiglia una settimana presso la struttura!! Posto meraviglioso inserito all'interno di una cornice stupenda!! Un vero angolo di paradiso assolutamente adatto agli amanti della pace e della tranquillità!!! I proprietari sono persone estremamente cordiali e disponibili per qualsiasi evenienza. Gli appartamenti sono molto ben curati e forniti di tutti i comfort. La piscina è poi la ciliegina sulla torta, da dove si può ammirare un panorama incantevole.

We booked in Borgo Pianello at first for winter holiday and we could not resist to book a stay again in July. We appreciated not only the beautiful surroundings but also the great cordiality and hospitality from our hosts. ||The apartments are nicely fitted out and provided us with everything we needed.||Ground floor rooms are probably more comfortable in summer time to enjoy outside meals. Otherwise there are tables that can be used outside in the garden and around the swimming pool.||Thank you for allowing us to have a fantastic summer break!

La struttura presenta varie pecche specie in villa. Ci hanno messo in camere comunicanti fra loro, per andare in bagno dovevi passare in altre camere mentre la gente riposava. Inoltre le porte son di carta velina e quindi privacy 0.

Sul cibo a parte gli ottimi antipasti:
Primo con pasta scotta
Risotto (non risotto) con riso bollito
Maiale in pasta kataifi innaffiato con aceto balsamico che copriva tutti i potenziali sapori.

My son and I spent a week here in late August and it’s safe to say we have had one of the best holidays. |The place itself - apartments and a house set in a rambling old Borgo with a stunning backdrop of lush green mountains is absolutely beautiful. |Our apartment was modern, with a small kitchen, new bathroom and a large bedroom. |We had our own little terrace overlooking the pool at the back where we had dinner and breakfast. |The place is self catering and there is no restaurant on site. Rather Stephanie and Marco do event evenings weather permitting. |We attended the All You Can Eat Pasta Eve - a fantastic social event where we dined outside under the garden lights at a large table with locals, family and friends. Marco, Stephanie and their daughter Agatha are the perfect hosts. |We also did the cooking course and had a great time learning how to make authentic Italian Pizza and Tiramisu. |Stephanie was kind enough to experiment with gluten free dough for me which turned out brilliantly. |We really had the best day doing this and made new friends along the way. |The pool at the back is beautifully set and we spent a couple of days there quite happily soaking up the scenery and sunshine. |The local town Lizzano in Belvedere has two mini markets ( they close at lunchtime and don’t reopen until 16.30) a couple of restaurants and bars. |Fanano is also worth a visit - a lively market town a 15 minute drive away with more shops and choice than in Lizzano. ||Thank you Stephanie & Marco; we will definitely be back! |

I was impressed by the beauty of the place and the splendour of the view. In the middle of mountain you have every detail set for a great stay. Cuisine was exquisite, very clean and well organised rooms and apartments, a generous backyard full of firefly on night and that green gras that gives you the peace needed and the calmness desired. ||Hosts were amazing also, very friendly and always keeping on mind the client needs, well organised and great planners :)||We will come back soon.

We we are just back from such a wonderful week at the Borgo Pianello. We did the cookery classes which were Monday/Tues/ Wednesday,. We then visited local restaurants on the other nights. This is a very special place. Stefanie and Marco are wonderful hosts. The accommodation is fabulous - such comfort - the best we have stayed in Italy and we have been to Italy many times. ||The swimming pool with the background view is just breathtaking - if you are thinking of booking this venue, don;t think twice - do it - you will not regret it.||We were a family of three - my husband and 13 year old son. We could not find a fault! What a truly special experience.||Thank you Stefanie and Marco.

Sono stata in questo resort con mio marito e il mio bimbo di un anno e mezzo per un fine settimana di aprile. Piccolo angolo di paradiso immerso nel verde, con prato ben curato, possibilità di barbecue in giardino, piccola piscina con vista mozzafiato, ottima base per percorsi a piedi, posto tranquillo. La struttura è rustica, ma calda ed accogliente; il nostro alloggio era un mini appartamento con cucina attrezzata e perfettamente funzionante: molto utile per preparare i pasti per il bimbo. Ho intravisto anche altre camere, tutte arredate con gusto. La struttura ci ha fornito anche lettino e seggiolone. A noi è piaciuto molto. Consigliato!!

We stayed at the Borgo in August, with our daughter and friends with their children. We loved it. The Borgo has been restored in 2006 and turned into 7 nice modern apartments. All have a nice bathroom and a smaller or larger kitchen, fully equipped and some apartments have a dishwasher too. ||It's located on a slope. At the back there is a swimming pool (unheated, which is nice when it's 30+ degrees) overlooking the valley.||The Borgo has wines from their own and other wineries, jams, liquers, etc. and you can get nice espresso, cappuccino or Italian aperitif. It's close to several villages where you can get you groceries or find restaurants, pizzeria's and trattoria's. It lies between Bologna, where you can go to by train (10 euro return ticket from Porretta Terme), and Florence. There are excellent opportunities for hiking in the area and the nights are truly quiet.||The Borgo has many places outside to sit and barbecue. You can even do your laundry. The owner, Marco, is very helpful. A perfect place for a nature loving people.
